Thanks bud. Less than a month old. I just hope they don't say it is my fault... I could care less if I get a new muffler, CVD,etc. I just want a new engine!

They really should give you one. It isnt your fault that it happened. Even crashing into a wall cant do that. I have heard someone say they have had their car run over by a real car and it didnt hurt the engine at all. The crankase was probably faulty machined. Cracking a crankase takes a lot of pressure and you haev not done anything serious to it. Tell duratrax that the engine was faulty and send the car back. Because problems with an engine can lead to other problems.

The dented pipe doesn't really matter. I have a rb xr12 turbo and it has a few dents in it. The engine will still work as well because one of my old dtx had the same thing happen to it. Duratrax will take your engine even if it was your fault because they like to maintain their reputation as a company.

Good to know. Should I get a new pipe anyway? If I can?

This thread, like the original, is getting too long to read all the way through, so I'll just have to ask my question. Is there a stronger replacement differential gear for the Evader. I replaced the DTX 18 with an OS CV-RX the day before yesterday. Yesterday the diff went out. When I pulled it apart, the differential gear had split apart between the diff ball holes. The car had not been jumped any with the new engine, so no shock loads were involved. Someone mentioned an aluminum diff gear from Tower, but Tower says there is no optional replacement for the DTXC 7403. Is an aftermarket part availible elsewhere?

I think it would be good if we were told how to take out dents right here in the forums.

InfinitySpeed04 and djv, thanks for the info. I just rebuilt the diff about fifteen to twenty tanks ago with a new differential gear and the car hasn't been run that hard, no reason for the diff gear to split along the line of the diff balls. Maybe the aluminum gear will stand up to the CV-RX better than the plastic one did.
