It's nice to see Hanger 9 is working hard to make the P-47 a success. The last thing they want is to be bashed here on RCU about their product. I saw some doubts on the G-26, I'll bet once fully broken in that it would fly just fine. I've flown a GSP FW190 at 13 lbs and it was a rocket, even torque rolled it. The bolt has more wing area than the FW ( 1164 sq" vs 827 sq" ) giving the bolt a lower wingloading than the FW. At 17 lbs the bolt is 33.6 oz. per sq' and the FW calculates to 36.2 oz. per sq'. That's a 'worse case scenario' for "out of the box" build for the weight assuming the H9 guys are correct. The key is it needs to be broken in, the stock muffler goes in the trash and you prop with more pitch. My guess is that it will fly well enough to do all standard warbird manuevers. I'm sure more power will make it fly 'better' all depends on what you want. Has there been any problems with the 60 size ? I'm curious as I have flown a friend's a few times with an OS1.20 and it really groves nice, seem to be built very well too. I found the Corsair to be too fidgety and never really tracked well, especially with a little wind. The Mustang has been a great flyer and very dependable. S1
