Status: offline 		roggy did did you mean that you are installing a DA 50? If so can you take pictures of the firewall cut out and your mounting system? I also plan to install a DA 50 and am a little bit nervous about cutting in to my firewall.

Status: offline 		IT WASN'T THAT BAD TO MODIFY. I WILL MEASURE THE FIREWALL & TAKE SOME PICS.
THERE IS BUILT-IN WASH OUT ON THE FIREWALL . MEASURED BACK ABOUT 1 1/4 " ALL AROUND ,THEN USED A GOOD STRAIGHT EDGE & KEPT SCORING THE FIREWALL WITH A SHARP EXACTO KNIFE . DIDN'T USE THE METAL CORNER BRACES . USE WOOD TRI STOCK IN SIDE ,WITH EXOPY FOR SUPPORT .

Status: offline 		What is the difference between a DA 50 and a DL 50? To me they look similar. Do they have the same measurements? Roggy, did you have to cut a hole in the firewall for the carb?

Status: offline 		DL IS COPY OF DA . DL IS MADE IN ASIA.
ENOUGH ROOM -FIREWALL TO CARB . I COVER HOLE IN FIREWALL TO KEPT FUEL FROM SPITTING BACK IN FUSE.
PROP SIZE- WILL TRY 20*10 FOR STARTERS

I think 99% of the people on here care. Most of us are considerate of others because we like to share and receive information from and to each other.

Status: offline 		I thought I would update this thread with a few pics. Finally getting to the end of this plane that my sons and I started several pages back. I have a few more details to finish up. Can't decide if I want to take out stock retracts and update to air. Going with a Brisson 3.2 Need to install that and radio gear. Need to get a gun sight made and rudder pedals, so I can finish the cockpit. I would like to add a little more weathering and hope to finish up by spring. Take care ,Capt. Winters
