Daw, did the plane have the stock smaller tires on it as shown in the manual, or did the tires look more close to a scale size? Also do you guys have a paved or grass runway, and on the retracts did they seem to wobble on the ground and are there any type of "strut" mechanism built into the gear? Thanks in advanced.

Mugen, It comeswith factory OLEO struts. Which will remove alot of stress on the mounts.

I dont know how to post a PDF file, but the ad in the new FLY RC has a detail shot of the landing gear and plane. Both look very nice.

Paladin is correct the plane has struts built into the gear. The wheels didn't look undersize but I believe they had to be about 4 inches? We have a grass feild and the gear didn't seem to have any problem. There is a video of the flight being posted at http://www.aeromodelers.net/2005movies.htm soon.

DROOOLLLLL!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Lownloud... that is just what the Dr ordered and it clears up a lot of questions for me. Looks like hanger 9 really did their homework on this one. Can't wait till it comes out!!!!!!!!

Daw, that video is impressive. The Saito 1.80 moves that plane well. I have a Moki but that looked fast for a bird that big.
Great video, thanks

It is listed as a P-40E not a P-47 for those of you that want to see this plane fly.

Here are a few shots from the flight

Well, I can't afford to get into giant scale, so I'm opting for the 60 sized H9 P47. Got mine
on order at the LHS and they told me today that Horizon Hobbies has said it will now be around
the 20th of Sept. Darn........ >

Going to power it with a Supertigre g75 with in cowl header and muffler. I have a couple of
these in kit form.......about the same size, an old Jemco kit and a Top Flite kit, but wanted to
use this as a trainer for warbirds. I'm doing a maiden on my H9 AT6 this weekend as a precursor to
flying the P47.

Just wanted to mention the 60 sized version as well.

Cheers,
Andy
