Hello all. I'm looking into getting an electric truck. Ive had my Nitro Evader for awhile, and while it is fun, I get tired of the constant repair and maintanence that comes with every nitro.

Soo.. i want a decent electric ST/MT/whatever for runnin around the house or outside. I want something under $200, goes decently quick (however quick yo u can go for a <200 electric.. prob not much im sure), but also pretty reliable and tough.

I really like the looks of that 1/18 itsy bitsy spyder rtr.. but ive heard it breaks a lot?

Even a 1/10 scale would be fine.. im totally new at electric stuff.. other than my planes.. so fill me in

Well don't even consider the itsy bitsy pile of crap spyder... The best 1/18th right now is either the rc18(m)t or the mini-t. both are now going for 150 usd i think... i have the rc18mt and it is awesome. you'll just need to get some CVD's right away. the only downside to the rc18t and mt is that the gears are basically wide open, so dirt and pebbles jam right up in there... a lot!

18T/mt Is what you need!No difference in the 2, but the mt has bigger tires ,bigger motor, and gearing to compensate.Thats it,I have the mt. All kinds of hop ups readily available. With a Mamba package motor 60 mph.I have even seen gear covers for them.

Bombers_410 (or anyone else) do you have any videos of your stock rc18T/MT goin around in the street or yard? So i can get an idea of how quick it is with the stock motor.

There is also an off-road video on Team Associated's website. However, I didn't see anyone using an airplane controller like in that other video.
