Just a update on the carbon pipe. It is doing really well and i havent had any breakage at all. there are no cracks in it after 4 races that ive used it at. The stinger is a little long and stuck out past the stinger protector. So what i did was dremmel it off a little shorter. Im using the long header. part # BU120L http://www.vantageracing.com/site/flashfound_default.htm

well mine was only 70 bucks ( pipe and header 1 piece ) they make every kinda pipe for a lot of r/c's even a roll cage (carbon) for the savage. it isnt louder it just a different ring to it. the long header has a bigger sweep than the JP1 & 2 pipe . very cheap for the 1 piece if i must say. those prices are "retail" and thats always higher. www.extremerc.com has the pipes or they can get them fast as heck...

thats good news zzman i have one on my ttr s3 but havent ran it yet i got it at extreme rc in evansdale ia. have you ever raced there? me and my friends went there sunday and raced. all i did was pit for them! the track is pretty good and they are in the middle of an indoor track that will be ready by october and they will run 1/8th scales!!!!! everybody i know thinks that this carbon pipe will rob horsepower cause it doesnt get as hot i keep telling them its not what the pipe is made of its whats inside and how its shaped. but when they pick my ttr up they say daaaang thats light! i wonder why? i guess my question would be does it throw the balance of youre buggy off when you are air born? does it whant to tilt to one side or anything like that? and i paid 72.00 for mine wich i didnt think was to shaby.

ya i have run at extreme but im waiting for the indoor to get done this winter. it does get hot it just cools down faster. you cant touch the pipe at ALL when you run it. it doesnt rob $hit. and no it doesnt fly any diff in the air and yes it knocks off a lot of weight. like i said their support is the BEST ive EVER seen for any product out. the faulty pipe i got the first time was replaced w/ a new one and another long and short header (that makes 2 long 1 short) in 2 days. so for 70 bucks i got 3 headers and a great pipe.

I might consider getting one. Does it give low end power cuz that's what i want. I can't seem to find any reviews on it though..anyone know any sites? noise is also one of my concerns but you said its not above average in terms of noise so that's good.

So I've seen two different photos of the pipe now. I'm assuming your old one had a satin/flat finish and your new one is glossy? Seems like that's why your first one cracked??

no just the opposite- the first ones out had a clear coat on them and they found out that when it got hot it smoldered and smoked. so they dont put that on any of them now. the new one is dull but i soak my bug down w/ WD-40 and it shines right up. it is more of a mid high end pipe. its hard to tell cause i run the P5X and it still has a ton of bottom but it did calm it down just enough.
