Thanks for the pics, every one is appreciated. Well I got around to mounting the cowl tonight. The kit comes with aluminum brackets and 1/4" nylon screws, however the screws have very big heads on them an so I drilled out new holes for some smaller headed screws. I threaded them into the bracket then mounted a rubber gasket on top of the bracket. I need to find a small rubber washer for the screw but I'm confident it will be strong. If not I can always add another set of screws but it's better looking than that big head sitting on the cowl. There is nothing worse than a flimsy cowl and I felt the joint between the two halves were not that strong and could easily flex and perhaps chip the paint or something worse, so.......Carbon Fiber to the rescue!! 2 layers of 5oz on the center line should make it nice and strong. I decided it was time to start glassing the control surface. I had some 2.3oz satin cloth kicking around so I thought I would us it on the aileron to make it a little more durable. The ball link sticks out from the surface and I was trying to think of what I could use so it doesn't get damaged or resin on it. I looked around and .........hey.....look at that fuel tubing over there..... perfect fit!!
