Well believe it or not, it's time for the DOGS ( Dayton Ohio Giant Scalerers ) to howl at the moon again for 2005. Everything is set for another great time at the U. S. Air Force and National Museum in Dayton Ohio. We are hoping that all of you that made it last year are planning on coming back this year and for all of you that hasn't made it here yet will load up all your gear and come fly with us. As many of you know how much fun we have every year, well we plane on even more fun this year. The IMAX movie this year is a new one ,all about fighter pilots at Red Flag, so that is worth coming for right there. Anyway, if any of you have any questions I suggest you go to www. dogsairshow.com and that should help you with any information you might need. We hope to see you all there and I quarantee you will have the times of your life. Safe flying to you all and see you in Dayton Labor Day week-end. John McNees

Update on the DOGS fly-in for anyone wanting to fly with us Labor Day week-end. It looks like we will be having one of the best fly-ins we've ever had. We have been getting calls and e-mails daily for the past 2 weeks from a lot of people who said they will be coming, and it looks like we will be having more jets than ever this year also. We have also been getting calls from a lot of warbird guys saying they are coming . So if any of you guys and gals out there haven't decided where you are going to fly Labor day Week-end it looks like Dayton Ohio will be the place to be again this year. Oh Yeah, don't forget about all the fun we will be having at the Air Force Museum and the great IMAX movie. This one is the best they've ever had. I saw it the other day and man do I Love Jets. Hope to see you all there again this year. For more info go to www.dogsairshow.com. Your new line boss, John

Remember. Saturday night private Museum tour, flight simulator to ride over and over again, IMAX movie(Red Flag), prize raffle(last year over 75 prizes), the best runway government can buy, midday show from the top pilots and planes found anywhere, onsite camping, pizza party Friday night(sponsored by RC Hobby Center) and a huge vendor row. Horizon,Hobbico,Radical RC,Veltye,Dave Patrick Models, Radiowave,TNT Landing Gear,RC Hobby Center, Zurick,Ohio Model Products, etc, etc.
We welcome warbirds, scale, aerobatic, and jets. Seperate flight schedule for all. So come enjoy one of the largest and most beautiful flying sites in the U.S. You won`t be disappointed.

Katrina will not stop the DOGS airshow. In case any of you out there that are planning on attending the Dayton Ohio Giant scale meet this week-end, pleaes don't worry about the weather. As of Tuesday afternoon we are getting rain but it is scheduled to be clear of here a lot sooner than forcasted. By tomorrow afternoon the sun will be back out and the forecast for the rest of the week and week-end is for perfect flying weather. So Pack it all up and head for Dayton and the US National Air Museum and let's have a great time. Drive careful and be safe.

Just a note to let everyone know that we are already getting a good number of pilots pulling in and setting up their RVs and trailors.so it looks like the oil companys are'nt going to hurt this fly-in. The grounds look really nice this year. With the rain we had Tuesday and the museun staff just finished mowing all the grass areas and the weather forcast calling for sunny skies, low winds, this should be the best fun fly ever. We hope to see a lot of new faces along with all our regulars that make it here every year. Along with our hopes and prayers for our troops abroad, we will all be thinking about the unfortunate ones along the gulf coast. Let's fly for all of them. Be safe and see you in Dayton.

I think that it is time that we do the annual inspection on that thing. Maybe have the engine overhauled, what else is there......

All in good fun, John!!

H.E.L.P

Hello to everyone. My name is Sam Filippelli and I am down at the DOGS fly in. By mistake I left my transmitter in the impound, and when I went back everyone left. I am still in Dayton, and I'm sure someone at the field is holding my transmitter for me. I'm not planning to leave till tomorrow (Monday) I am staying at the Dayton Marriot. Their number is 937 223-1000, and I am in room 535. If someone knows about my radio, could they please leave a message at the hotel. I will try and make arrangements to pick it up before I leave for home. I will also be check my email first thing in the morning. My email is sam@samsrc.com

Thank you in advance.
Sam

This was my 5th trip to the big fly-in,and I have to say I am disappointed in the warbird turn out .Sure I know that warbirds are only a small part of our hobby but come on guys its the National Museum of The Air Force the place is full of nothing but warbirds .there will never be a better location to go fly your giant scale war planes.I know there was a warbird rally in Muncie this weekend as well did everyone go there?Maybe it was just gas prices that kept people away but heck I drive 160 miles or so because its worth it
