Status: offline 		I have noticed how bad of reputations the custom cars has gotten. I mean the fast and furious style cars. the movie the fast and furious really upped the popularity of those cars but also brought a reputation of street raca' crap to them. and the term "pimped out" really brought it down to a new low. I mean, I think those kind of cars are awesome but I wouldn't want to be seen driving one because it makes you look like a jerk to normal people or a poser to the real street racer people,neither of which I am or want to be loked apon as.
I find this very much like skateboarding. People,not so much now but did, think skateboarders are losers because of all the stupid punks. This is the reason I quit. (skateboarding) and I dont want it to be the reason I stop liking these cars. if anybody else feels this way or has something to say, please post it.

In life, many people will look down on you for most anything..
Now, the questions is.. Do you let them dictate how YOU live
your life...?
So -some- people looked down on skateboarders.. Big deal..
Just go do it...
I have had american muscle cars and radical street machines
since they were new cars in the late 60's and early 70's.. I
have been 'look down upon' many times thru the years... And
guess what,, I *still* have those type of cars,, and I still don't
give a rats orfice what other people think... To *ME* they are
fun...
Same thing with R/C planes.. Many people will look down on
you for 'playing with toys'.. So what.. As long as *YOU* enjoy
what you are doing...
So CapUSA ,,live your own life and ignore those who dictate
how you should live...

Status: offline 		ricers suck and "custom cars" are what chip foose and boyd coddington build. not those pos cars from that dumass movie. real street racing does NOT happen like in that movie at all. o yea and a friend of mine said it best... because of haveing to wade through the ocean of fart cans and pepboy wings to find that ONE decent import, there is no point in trying. looking fast then trying to be it and run 15's or worse is the stupidest thing anyones done. those dumbass kids that glorify that crap are morons and need to learn what real hot rods have and will do. alan sheperd and his 7 sec talon, gmpp and there 7.70sec sunfire, summit and there 8 second rwd celica.. thank you please drive through.. all 4 cylinder cars though so dont even try to call me a hater.

Status: offline 		Fast n Furious was the worst movie I had ever seen. The looser criminals become the hero's. Drive stupid ricers which are suited for 12 year old children. People have the freedom to build stupid cars and the rest of us have the freedom to laugh at them. It's the idiots who draw attention to themselvs and wonder why the rest of the world is laughing at them. It goes both ways. Their free to do it and we are free to laugh at it. The latest bling thing is a joke too:

Status: offline 		I been into cars for 30 years, seen lots of diffrent things, I too seen fast n furious, unfortunatly many young kids think it is realistic.

I would like to make a prediction (time will tell)... IMO... this whole import "tunner" thing is much like the ***DISCO*** thing that happened in the 70's. If the the north american auto companys start offering more/better/sport domestic cars again, I could see this Fast n Furious thing go much like the DISCO! thing. Imo, the only thing missing from these raca import people with there snow plows, airplane wings and there batman jet exhaust is a DISCO ball in there cars, maybe bell bottom pants will help them with there "NOS" (lol) too.

Status: offline 		the fact that people do laugh at people for doing that to there car is fine, i was at mcdonalds and saw a guy with a nice civic all decked out nice car he suported his family from the winnings he got from racing it he had about 2 or 3 guys standing there talking about it i think if u do do the street tuner, i think u have ur place in the world . people that sreet race i think do it because it is illegal and it gives them a feeling of power . i think it all right to modify your car in performanse and visuals because u like it i think it will not end up like disco (going out) because u have the next gen. (me included) in the tuner industry and with younger gen.s in it i think it will be hard for it to go out like disco. so many people u see with rc cars have some sort of new car body be it tuner or exodic it is a growing industry and will for years to come . it may go out but i dont see it happening for many years.
