Hey Guys, I stripped all the Monocote of the entire airframe It came off perfectly. I did not need to heat up the covering at all. It took just at two hours and left no glue residue or anything it looks like it never had covering on it at all. I could not believe how easy it was. I'm starting my custom scheme tonight. How cool is it going to be to have an all original version of this awesome plane. I will post pics if you all would like to show what this thing looks like in it's bare bones state. It is very well built. I would say to anyone who ever thought of recovering one of these. Don't hesitate. you could easily strip this model in an evening and have it recovered in not much longer. To me that's not much extra work to have an original. Just food for thought... I can't get over how big the fuse on this thing is. Well gotta go I got a couple rolls of Monocote and an iron that awaits my arival. Hey while I'm on here chattering away!!!!! What is the smallest channel radio I can set this plane up with. I have the Futaba Fasst 6 channel Will this radio work with this model OK? Please Share what ever thoughts you may have. Futaba also makes a 7 channel fassst radio, Will I gain much with one just more channel. This is my first gasser with this many servos. I know you can go crazy and spend 600.00 on a radio. But I just want a decent setup that will reliably fly the plane. Thanks-

Dubro 3.5" wheels work better.

I have been using them for over a year. Zero wear. I like them because they are lightweight. I do have a set of Dubro's as a backup, just have not needed them. They probably weigh triple the stock ones.

Anyone have any problems with the stock fuel tank stoppers leaking? Mine is the Black one, and managed to loosen up enough to leak a bit... and due to that, does anyone have any cures to seal the foam to keep it from melting inside the fuse? I've only got a couple of small spots where it did melt, but i'd like to prevent further problems.
