As I had posted above, all I needed was a .05 coin to have it balance laterally...

Crash One...How do you have yours? Heads or Tails?

If I insert it in the wing tip I won't have to make such a tough decision :-)

I'm also trying to fit a small video camera onto the wing so that I can get some onboard video of those extreme speed passes as well as those high altitude runs!

I hate decisions so I stuck the finishing nail in the wing tip. With the kids' Soccer in full swing and/or the high winds I still haven't gotten to fly mine.

Scott, built according to the specs and using the proper weighted nail, should mine balance laterally or tip to the right to offset the motor torque? Mine tips to the right.

Scott's such a great guy that I ordered the complete Dualsky Motor, ESC and Battery from him. It's the 13003GT. 3S1300.

I usually balance mine pretty much on the money, but if it tips to the right a bit, that will not hurt a thing.

For the longest time I never laterally balanced! And that was when I was running 2100's. The things we learn along the way!

I used a .10 cents (a dime) to balance mine. Even with a dime it tips to the right. A nickel was way to heavy for my setup. I put a small slit on the wing tip and slid the dime in their nice slow and taped the wing tip with hinge tape.

So now I'm into foamy pusher jets! Look at tonight's reverse engineering project:

I took a balsa kit from Aerocraftrc.com, it's a 12" profile F-15:

http://www.aerocraftrc.com/planelist.php?title=Educational%20Kits&desc=Educational%20Airplane%20Kits&type=chuck

Made templates from the balsa and traced them onto the foam. I hooked up an Airhogs Aero Ace power system. I'll see how she flies tomorrow!

Sorry if it's off topic, I just had to share!
