I did some searching (Since the stores in my area don't carry 2.5" PVC Square Pipe) and found this:

http://k-mac-plastics.com/plastic-rod/pvc-square-rectangle-bar-stock.htm

Item Number: KBS-073

$8.57 for a 4 Feet Section.

It says the Thickness is .375. Is that to think?

3/8" (.375) is wayyyyyy too thick. If you can't find thinner, go with the .125" ( 1 / 8 " (and even that is thick). Canadian pipe that is used is 1/16" thick. Can't get rid of that smilie. Supposed to be a closing bracket.

LOL!!!

Dude... that's not PVC pipe, that's PVC bar stock... look at your link and the header in that table! You're looking at a solid 2.5" wide by .375" thick PVC bar/rod!

Looks to me like stock number KTBS-036 is closer to what we might like but the wall on that is .075". Still pretty thick, but workable. What is Type 1 PVC? I'd want to know if this is flexable or rigid tube.

RCF, I'm in the Hartford Connecticut area. However, I have a source for gutter pipe in Manchester CT. I hope they still have it in stock. It's been about a year since I bought my last 10 footer. Like most everyone else, I looked for the stuff at the major big box places and was getting frustrated until I called Genova. They gave me a couple of non descript hardware stores within a few miles of here that had it. I think I paid $12 for 10 feet. That yeilded 3 Demon fuselages and 3 Sickles. That doesn't necessarily mean a total of 6 complete planes. SPADS also have expiration dates!

Thank you for the offer.

Called my source today and they still have 10 footers for $12. $10 for 40 inches? That comes to $30 for 10 feet . What a deal! I'll go to the hardware store Thank You!

Palica:

I've had a friend in the states check Lowes, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, and Menards without any luck. In fact, all he got was a blank stare. If one needs the stuff, especially for formers, then 40" at $10 is better than nothing. Also why don't you reveal your sources to all of us, so we can take advantage of the tremendous bargains. I see a lot of people on this forum making statements that they can't back up with any facts. Either you're trying to corner the market or blowing smoke!
