I didn't see a biplane like mine, so I will submit a picture of it. See if anyone recognizes it.

Tequila Sunrise, with an extra wing

I like the look of "john josey's" open cockpit Pitts, too.

I posted some photos of my RCGuys Pitts S1 a few pages back, but alas not long after that it met its demise. Never did figure out the cause, but it just went limp on final approach, then went in...

So when I saw that pro builder Walter Chubb had a GP Christen Eagle II airframe already built, I couldn't resist and bought it and installed a DL50 (from the Pitts!) and, of course, smoke.

My two passions are pattern - for the beauty of precision - and bipes - something fun and stubby to cavort about the sky, so since I have limited storage space these are my only 2 kinds of model for the future.

John, I have a soft spot for stubby bipes, and the job you have done with this kit is spectacular!

Got me thinking about building one myself.

Ok, here is mine. This is actually my first biplane, and I don't think I could have chosen a better flying one. This thing floats (and floats and floats ), lands on a dime and is just becoming one of my favorite planes to go out and have a bunch of fun with. Has an OS FS-91 in the nose. Easy to put together at the field and feels rock solid.

I like it a LOT

here is mine, I am offing the glow engines and going to gas so it is torn apart right now. waiting on the big brown toy truck and my DLE 30. moved the fire wall back 3/4" to keep the cowl and hopefully the cg in same location without too much rearrangement of electronics.can still mve the ele and rudder servos back if i have to. It weighs 8.5 pounds with the ignition batt sittin on the wing installed the ign. switch and optokill. the 30 should be a good power plant for it and still balance well. figuring just over 11 rtf.

Looks great. Any idea where I can get replacement landing gear? Dave Patrick is on the lam, and his parts are hard to find.

I am going to change mine out for cf gear that is a little taller right at the first of the year.If that 30 will spin a 20/8 ok im gonna use it! get ahold of me then and we can work out a deal. mine is still pristine, never landed hard. Just fear its a little short for the props the new motor swings. it was a near deal with a 18/6 w on the 180.

Here are my two bipes...I like Ultimates! The red is the CG Ultimate 10-300 from the kit, powered by an OS 120 Surpass. The blue/yellow/white is the AW Ultimate 20-300 with a DLE-55...it's awaiting a maiden. Jon

 Wow!
You guys all have some incredible Bipes!

I have two now. One is my GP Spad XIII - a beautiful plane in every respect. And...well.... I scratch-built a little 18" SE.5a from 3mm Cellfoam 88 and the innards from a demolished PZ 4ch warbird with an AR6400 brick. The "sleeper" in this lil' feller is a Nine Eagles Bravo SX helicopter motor in the PZ gear box. Just a quick pinion swap and she fit right in there.

I've yet to maiden either of these yet!
