Here's a few more. The purple Aeroworks belongs to the man in the pic with the GP Ultimate. Yes, that is Mr. Bob Pastorello.

O'kay, I'm a biplane addict. When and where are the monthly meetings? I need to sell the Aeroworks Python or the Goldberg Monster to finance a CARF EXTRA. See the 7gram indoor free flight on top of the Python?

If anyone is interested in details on either the Goldberg or the Aeroworks I am going to sell PM me. Both planes are gassers and use high end JR digital servos (except 4721 metal gears on Goldberg ailerons). Also both have LiOn packs and dual wolverine switch harnesses. Aeroworks has 4 flights on all new equip. and Goldberg has about 20 flights.

Hi all,
I have a question for all you guys with large scale biplanes. I am drawing up and building a 1/3 scale Fiat CR.32 and I still dont know what motor to use, I was thinking of a Zeonah 62 but may have to reduce the size of the plane.
Specs as follows,
Wing span 3135mm (123"
Bottom wing 2030mm
Fuz length 2460mm
Height 847mm
Top wing cord 520mm

Thanks for your time.
Barry

For the sake of Conversation , I'll throw in my 2 cents worth . BUT , Since I have the same Question in mind So I will Also be Watching Replies ! ..................Weight will be your #1 factor and also Drag . The Zenoah 62 recommends a 22x10 prop. So you want to be sure you have a large enough Diameter prop to reach out past the fuse sides to move enough Air . ..... Personaly , I don't have enough experience with these engines Although I Have them , With the G- 62 I don't think I would go much over 30 lbs. And that would Probably be Slow flying ! I also have a GT-80 I was going to use on a 120" plane , But Prop diameter Is a Big issue on It . ! Plus I expect it to be easily 50 lbs. ! ? ! ? So I'm actually checking around for a 100 + cc. engine ! ................. For my 1/3 scale version (12' span) Just the WOOD kit is just under 50 lbs. , So I am expecting to use/Looking for, A 200cc or so engine that will swing a 30" or so PROP ! ..................... My project has been on HOLD for a while So I have No REAL data to offer , But , Those are My thoughts ........................... ........... GOOD LUCK ! ! ! ! !

Does anyone know if there is a company that still sells a 50cc size Pitts Special? What I'd like to have is the Pitts Special like Great Planes used to sell. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the help. I forgot all about that one, I remember seeing a review on it some time back and thought it was a good choice.

There is also a Great Planes version for sale currently in the biplane section of the classifieds on RCU if you really want the GP. Good luck.
