Status: offline 		Ok all you experts out there...need some feedback.

I was wondering if anyone has had problems with flying with the flaps on the giant 1/5 scale P51. I was talking to a fellow on the weekend who scratch built the kit using the Topflite specs and said that as soon as he put the flaps down he lost control of the tail and it went into an unrecoverable dive and he lost the plane.

I'm wondering if this is just a design flaw with his scratch build or an issue with the plane?

Status: offline 		John......I don't know of any problems with the Giant T/F P-51 flaps or any other P-51 kit with flap problems....I have a Giant T/F P-51 and the flaps have been flawless....I would suspect this other flyer had a "Flap Assymetry" problem meaning that one side extended and the other side failed to extend causing the aircraft to spin out of control....you shouldn't have any problems provided your flap system is reliable.....Bill......
