Couple notes then I'll go away...
Heat #2 was to be with my Patriot ARF and Webra-50GT (not the Jett-50 Pat.).... Which I would have won also-
The nose-wheel on that Cessna is garbage-
Did I mention I was flying an oval as we agreed upon and Super-Dave was flying a random slot-car track style pattern?
We will have to get more official at the bigger fly-in next month--- If I was following this thread I would say we were both full of crap, but common sense would tell me the Jett-50 would destroy you Dave! Which it did...

We did have a draw, but the issue is still undecided....heh heh. OK, so maybe I did shave a little distance off each lap to stay ahead of the Jett powered Patriot. Maybe if my old F-20 wasn't as fat as a football I would be less treacherous....
....NOT !!
We we're both running 9-8 props. The Rossi was clearly out turning the Jett in the RPM department. The Patriot had the advantage in the streamlining Dept. I switched to a 9-7 Zinger for heat #2. The Rossi wasn't even on the pipe. The darned thing was faster, and had more revs with the MAS 9-8. It never did get on the pipe.
The Patriot has retracts as well. The big fat fixed gear F-20 did give a good account of itself.....and on only 5% nitro.
Had I not skillfully flown the pattern, the Patriot "might" have prevailed.
Dave.

Attica, attica, attica!
Kneel to the Patriot/Jett/Retract gods!
Dave- What is the best prop. for a Magnum-91FS?
Rudeboy- He did a trim flight before the show-down but it did not seem to matter...
My Bobjett-50 was turnin' just fine, so fine my Tach. would not read it.... Dave thinks because his Rossi makes a bunch of noise with a skinny little MA 9x8 and a 3' pipe that he was faster- Silly Dave, tricks are for kids!
I need witnesses next time-

I can't believe Razor dredged this back up.
Looks like the Old Man and the Killer Rossi gotta give up some more "flyin' lessons" to the youngsters.

We'll be glad to have ya', Bud Dude....
Looks like Heat #4 might be another Jett/Rossi fiasco....
Notice how the Rossi is almost a full plane ahead of the Jett....

buddude- This is an old thread i DREDGED UP FOR HARASSMENT PURPOSES!
You have a Patriot or F-20? I always wanted a fully glassed verion, I hate pinholes in the covering and how fragile built up planes are.... Besides that would be a perfect DF or turbine trainer since it'd be a bit heavier--- The prop. I have had the best results with is a 9x9 APC although I have never tried anything thinner/smaller like your pylon prop.
Dave is bringing his digi-scale so we can actually weigh these monsters! I have never had an accurate weight for most of my airplanes.
