Well, today I've got my builer's hat on too. Finally got my Avistar wing repaired and recovered. (Imagind a gorilla taking your wing and breaking it over his knee at the center joint...) I had to completely rebuild the center 6". So while I was at it, I took out the dihedral. Now some minor fuse work and I'll be back in the saddle again. So for 8 hrs on a wing panel, that's nothing. I'm sure I spent at least that or more on mine and I've probably got 15 or more in my repair job. However, I don't even bother keeping track of hours logged. I build for fun and relaxation. And I probably only get 10 min to 2 hrs. at any given time, so it would be a real PITA to keep track anyway. I look at it that when it's done, it's done. Nobody's keeping score and everyone would rather see you take whatever time you need to do it right. Our opinion of your build time means nothing to you or us, but the quality of your plane means everything to you. And since you're footing the bill, your opinion counts.
