I just love pullin up beside civics like you who are just revvin up ur little 4 cylinder thinkin that it sounds good and has power. Then I rev up my 350 V8 and they all shut up. You guys really need to learn what a real vehicle is, and your 4 cylinders sound like CRAP!!!!!!!! Oh, and why a 4 door??????? Not only is your car already ugly, that just makes it worse.

I've got 20 bux on the line this person doesnt' own a car!

BTW my 97ci will kick my 302ci's ass. To be fair, it's in a heavier car, but it's still down a good 30 h.p. compared to the mighty 97ci.

Theres no replacement for displacement

NO replacement for displacement? the 3.8 thunderbirds and cougars had more torque, more horsepower, and better gas mileage compared to their big 5.0 siblings. They also had more power than the 4.6's too which have more power than the 5.0's.

Don't get me wrong, I love my 5.0, I'm not unrealisitic, if it was designed as good as my 1.6 liter, it would have nearly 500 horsepower, but it's old, and wasn't designed for hi specific out put, just something to get my land yacht down the road.

all this talk about civics cracks me up. Fastest civic ive seen (in person) was a turbo's H22 in a 96 civic hatch. Over 400hp to the wheels. Didn't see a car that would keep up with it besides Matt's procharged 351 (mustang). Even then the civic would still pull on him on the long run. But yes...1.5 civics, blah, even the old SOHC 1.6 vtec's, sucked. The Si engines, nice, gsr engines are great too. Im a big import fan, but i run an 82 bmw 733i...so i can't really talk much. The closest i owned to muscle was a 96 camaro (yes, z28) . Nicest car i owned was a 1.8 GTI, tire blew out at 120, totalled it into a guardrail... Now im not gonna go get another car because im saving up to move to LA. I have to vote yes, that white civic is nice, but probably not fast, im not a big fan of all show no go.

well that was a 1 in a million! no doubt there ARE fast civics. but pick any car, and you could find one that SOMEONE has made fast. doesnt mean that as a whole, they are slow pieces of !!

in the SC's and XR7's, yes, the SUPERCHARGED 3.8 had more hp and torque, but the better gas mileage only applies to the manual trans models. the 5.0L Vs the normal 3.8 is like the difference between a 5.0L and a 5.0L missing two cylinders-which is what the 3.8 IS.

Sure hope you know A LOT about cars, a motor swap and turbo is A LOT of work, A LOT of time and a LOT of money let alone all the problems your going to have afterwards

not necessarily DM. the B series swap in the Civic has become so commonplace that it's almost idiot-proof now.

The 500 Cadillac going into my pickup truck though...that'll be...interesting.

hows this for cool? this is what i work on when im not playing with my LST, that is my CR500 in the background....hence my name on here.
This truck started life as a carburetted 22R, it was A LOT of work converting it to fuel injection when you take in the consideration all the wiring and fabricating involved

this is my truck with the new engine a 3.4 with a TRD supercharger

this is my truck with the engine that i put in 5 years ago, it was a 3.0 and it wasnt fast at all, but it had hella torque!

CR500...nice swap one of those bolt-in, but pain in the butt for everything else swaps? (since the 3.0 engine mounts are the same for the 3.4 IIRC)

you had the truck dyno'd?

this was kind of a bolt in, i had to fabricate the motor mounts 5 years ago for the 3.0 and they are the same for the 3.4 (thank god!) i had to have a muffler shop build me a new crossover pipe since the exhaust on the 3.4 exits on the passengers side, but now its on the drivers side no i havent had it dyno'd but im hoping for around 310-315hp after the methanol/water injection
