I will be inverting a 2 stroke engine. Maybe a 1.08 or 120. Will I need to use pump? If so who sales them?

Thanks in Advance,
Pat

The pump requirement is usually indicated by the tank not being mounted directly behind the engine

If your going to mount a 2-stroke inverted, then you need to move the tank so that it's perfectly centered up on the centerline of the carb spray bar.

You don't need a pump unless you plan on mounting the tank on the CG or significantly behind the engine. If you do run a pump--then get the Cline Regulator. It's not really a pump--but rather a fuel regulator for the carb. It works very well. You'll need a 2-needle carb for the regulator. An air-bleed carb won't work with a regulator.

What you might really need for an inverted 2-stroke is an on-board glow driver. It's an electronic device that lights your glow plug at idle or slow speeds. It has it's own 1400mah nicad battery on board. You just use a Y-harness to hook it up to your throttle servo and then dial it in. Most on-board glow drivers have a dial that you can turn with a small screwdriver. This is so that you can set when you want the glow to come on--relative to throttle position.

Somebody is for sure gonnna pipe up and tell you that using an on-board glow driver is a dummies excuse for a poor tuning job. Thats BS. Sometimes--no matter what you do, a 2-stroke glow engine just won't run inverted without a glow system. It's no different than using a volt meter, or a tuned pipe. If ya need it--then ya need it.

A small 2 ounce head tank near carb works good too. Of course you need a main tank also. Then you may not need the regulator or pump!!!!!!
