I have agreed to build a V-Vector for my Local Hobby Shop owner, but I'm at a loss to put a price tag on it. I have looked at the kit and plans...hummm, some time consuming stuff in there with the V tail and linkage. Anybody have an idea of what I should charge? BTW, I am an experienced builder, done some for $$, but I don't have a clue on this one.

Thanks,
Wyatt

Not exactly sure what I would charge, but I've built two of these, and you couldn't have picked a tougher one to build. The only reason I built the second was because in the first crash the wing was completely undamaged, and I couldn't let a good wing go to waste.

Of all the quickees I've built, I would say this was the most time consuming. Main areas of difficulty would be the tail linkage, and the pod that encloses the linkage.

I would guess It took about 40 hours to build and cover, but I may be a little slower than average. These planes fly very good, but tend to come out heavy, and are not as fast as some of the newer designs.

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't pick it! And I pretty much thought the same as you said in all areas. 40 hours seems reasonable. I started the laminate the fuse parts a little while ago, and wouldn't you know it, some of them are missing.

Yep, trade, but more like for stuff I've already picked up! Thanks for the $ figure.
