Here are some pictures. Great quality, just as good as my E.F. Yak. Just waiting for the rest of my equiptment. DA 50 w/pitts muffler, Duralite 4000mah 7.4v w/6v reg. for rx, 2000mah nimh 4.8v for ignition, 4 Hitec 5945's, 1 5955 for rudder, ect... You can't appreciate how nice the covering is unless you see it in person. Everything appears to be built strong, yet light. I would weigh everything but I don't have a scale.

I was wondering about the difference of 1320 vs 1450 sq in of wing surface area (85" vs 87" wing span of QQ vs. EF). How much difference will this make in flight performance? I realize over all weight of the plane will be important to factor in. How many planes came in the first shipment? I was on the waiting list but have not heard anything

Yea, construction looks similar to the EF product. Same factory?? Color scheme of the QQ and EF are the best out there. man, some of the other manufacturers must be living in the early 70's

I'm not sure how many they have in, but I know they are in the process of notifying everyone on the list and shipping them out. I just happened to be one of the first to recieve it, I guess I got lucky. I'm sure yours will be there very soon. It comes from the same factory as the E.F. Yak, so the construction is very much like it. I have the 68" E.F. Yak and have stressed the airframe way beyond what I ever thought it would stand without any problems. I just don't think you can get a better built arf than the QQ and E.F. period. I don't think the wing area will make any difference in how well it flies, besides it is two inches shorter that E.F.. Quique designed it and would not have released it if it wasn't as good or better than anything out there. They really want the best for everyone, and the proof is Quique moving out to Ohio so he and Wayne can better run the business. Just so you know the plane was tested with the 3W engine, so Quique said it may need nose weight or radio equiptment adjusted from what the manual shows with the DA 50. It comes with a templet for both engines. The flying manual will be on his web site within the next couple of weeks. I will keep you posted on whatever I find while building it.

Does this plane have a pipe tunnel like the EF?

No pipe tunnel like the E.F.. I will try to get some more detailed photographs in the morning. When I talked to Quique he said to use a pitts style muffler, so I don't think he intended on people using a pipe, but I'm sure that it can be done with minor mods to the fuse.

Went over the covering tonight just to make sure everything was sealed. I don't think I even had to, everything was perfect. I'm just waiting for my radio equiptment and DA 50 and I will have her done. The quality of the covering is better than I have seen with other arfs. Most of the time you have to spend hours just removing wrinkles, but I did the whole plane in about 20 minutes. No wrinkles or imperfections at all. I was not sure of the flat pinned hinges at first, but after test fitting everything I am sure they will work perfect. All slots are precut perfectly.

I know what you mean about the EF Yak, but let us not hijack this thread. I am curious to hear about the QQ 85"Yak
