Status: offline 		I have had several problems with radio installation in my c.g. freedom 20 trainer.
After changing the whole radio equipment( emitter and receiver) I would like to correct as well something I think could be incorrect.
Layout is:

Battery is just behind firewall and under the tank, (foam wrapped)
Behind this is located the receiver and the next is servo trail, so receiver antenna pass ( about 3" ) over or under the servos.

Is this ok?

Status: offline 		This should work fine, I have seen this done numerous times. However I would try and route the antenna wire away from all other wires, pushrods, servos, battery and switches. This is preferred method.

Do a range check with and without the engine running to verify range.

Status: offline 		What Michael says is true. Just try and keep the receiver and it's antenna, seperated from all power, and servo wiring.

Your criteria should be a good range check. About 50 paces with your Tx antenna collapsed.
