ORIGINAL: 45mph pede Ice/snow storms stink, but they rarely destroy your house... I cant imagine going back to the concreat slab that use to be your house... Mr. Dave, watch CNN they have some coverage of memphis. It looks like its going be ok... he is just getting the rain, us boys in virginia are going to get the brunt of it with the high winds and tornado's. Thank goodness for the brick house! -Wes Brick house? I guess you guys don't have to worry about earthquakes as much. Its illegal to have a residential home made out of brick in California/Nevada...have to be made of ole 2x4s (wood). And no screws either....have to be nailed together. Thats cause a wood home will sway when a quake hits, rather than crack and crumble. We recently had a 6.5 (I think) mag. earthquake on the San Simeon fault...boy, that was a shaker! . We don't gots to worry about tropical storms often (more like rarely)...usually, when it rains, the rain fills to the curb level on the sidewalks...and a small area in my backyard floods...then, I go run the RC boats in my private lake.
