I saw an add for the Turbo Head muffler and was wondering if anybody has had any experience with them on a 125? Also what is it that they are supposed to do?

I posted about the idle on my saito 100 a few days ago and it dies at all settings exept above half throttle. It will idle for 5-10 seconds before it dies at all settings. If I leave the glow starter on it won't dies so my question is could it be my GLOW PLUG? What are the stmptoms that the plug is bad in a four stroke? The coil is in great shape but could the catalyst be burned off? What would cause this? This is the saito SS plug and it has no carbon build up on it!!!! PLEASE HELP fast, I want to fly tomorrow!!!!!!!!

You need to give us a bit more information before we can help you. It is not uncommon for a new out of the box engine (never ran before) to not idle or transition properly, even with a perfect glow plug.

1. How much running time has the engine accumulated?

2. Did you break the engine in according to the instructions with the recommended fuel, prop and glow plug?

3. what size prop are you using?

4. which fuel are you using?

5. How is the fuel tank mounted? Is the centerline of the fuel tank higher than the center of the carb's rotating barrel?

It almost sounds like your LSN is set just a bit lean.

And yes, the plug could be bad. I've had plugs go bad on brand new engines after a few runs, possibly because some machining by-product got into it and contaminated the element. Replace the plug and it runs OK.

After checking all the issues such as tank position, etc., see if the LSN could be adjusted, only 1/8 or 1/16 turn at a time.

Just my $.02

Perhaps someone can help. I want to pipe my exhaust out the bottom of the cowling so as not to cut it up sticking the muffler out the side. I have a sato 82a installed inverted. I found a flex pipe but it does not have a pressure tape for the fuel tank or threds on the other end to install the stock muffler. The engine has 12mm female threads into which the muffler is installed via a short pipe.
Thanks,
Larry

you might consider a turbo muffler it has solved my problem of cutting up my cowling. and i'm going to purchase another when i get the funds for another saito for my U Can Do 46. So i can keep my cowling intact as much as possable. Just a thought or you can tap the flex pipe for a pressure nipple.
