Status: offline 		You think a 180 sucks a lot... you should see my 220... I only get about 6 flights per gallon !!!!...luckily I only fly maybe twice a month... 3 -4 flights each time.

Tried getting the low idle as lean as possible...but don't see much difference... but this thing is a beast for torque.

Status: offline 		Before, the 150, 180 and 220 filled a need. Now we have a better choice with the new line of Saito Gassers. I've never seen one in person yet. Might have the get one soon.

I am thinking the 40a on the eaglet would be the coolest thing ever, Hobbsy and W8YE does the 50 have the same case as the "original" 40

Status: offline 		Could'nt agree more mein duff even tho we pay an average ten bucks a litre for 10% glo fuel here.All that goes away the minute this engine fires and you give the throttle a good rip or two.Makes everyones body hair stand on end..you can stand closer to increase the effect

I have an example. the Saito 125 broke my firewall in the Tiger 2. no surprise. Gorilla glue in the joints as shown.

this setup brings me such joy. Tiger 2, Saito 125, APC 16X6, MAGIC.

By the way, Horizon Hobby answered my question about the fa-40a. They said the 40a may not be enough power for the Sundowner 36.

Status: offline 		Be glad you have a four stroke.... my super tiger 3000 uses 3 ounces a minute, i use a 24 ounce tank in my ace big bingo for 8 minutes of flight time and have to buy special (Byron 5% nitro/10% oil) fuel for it . i'd be happy to run a 2.20 4-stroke in it's place. the only reason i keep the combo together is the ST was the only quarter scale engine available when the kit was produced in the early 80's, i'm a sucker for nostalgia.

Status: offline 		The fuel tank is right up in the front, 1/4 scale plane with a long fuselage, i think it weighs in at 18 lbs , with a 84" wing. It was designed with a hatch held down with a single 1/4x20 nylon bolt, to access the fuel tank. I've had the plane 5 yrs without ever once adjusting the carb , just have to by fuel by the case. The ST 3000 is the equivalent to a 1.80 2-stroke, but is very high compression. To start it you spin the prop ( 20 x 8 MasterAirscrew) backwards, then it backfires and spins forward. I've kept it the way it was first built , most of the fuselage is 2-1/4" sheets of balsa glued together to make it !/2" thick, she's a flyin' tank. I've seen a few of the older ST3000 converted to gas, must not have been able to afford the fuel or the short flight time. I had a guy once tell me to be careful and wait 5 minutes after flight for the motor to cool down, said with the high compression it didn't take much heat to start the engine spinnin' again.

Status: online 		The Big Bingo is a lot like a Four Star 120 but the Bingo is built stronger and perhaps a little heavier.

If I had a ST 2000, 2500, 3000 series Super Tiger, I would be converting it to gas.

I converted my Saito 150 to gasoline.
