I was playing with a old NIB OS 120 twin the last of October. I don't think it needed on board at all both cylinders stayed on just fine. We had a Sonic tronics twin set up there but it was not needed. I was figuring the Magnum was the same way.

Enjoy,

Jim

Probably right. But I like gizmos anyway.

Or go here:

http://www.perrypumps.com/prod01.htm#magnum

for a Perry carb. Scroll WAY down to the Magnum listing.

Bill.

Caution with the Perry carb list. It hasn't been updated in probably 10 years,

The Magnum pro 61 shown is not the same engine as a XL 61

You had best measure your carb shank and order a carb the correct size.

Enjoy

Jim

Thanks for the info I'll see where it leads me.
I don't think the regular perry's will work.
15mm outside
9mm inside
they do have a pro that might work.
Thanks again.
Bob

I'm a new Magnum owner and you Magnum owers are just the people I would like to "talk" to.

I just bought a new Magnum XLS 91. I noticed that the piston is very tight at the top. I have difficulty hand turning the engine over. It is almost impossible to turn unless done quickly. I know ABC engines are designed that way but I don't expect it to be that tight.

Another observation is that it makes a loud clicking sound as it goes over the top.

I have an OS 46FX and it does nothing of this sort. Does this experience sound ominous?

Nothing to worry about on the Magnum and its fit.

The OS now, if you've never felt a pinch in it you might remember that loose fits mean there's less wear life left in it before it gets too loose to run.

Bill.

Bought my first Magnum, a 91 four stroke and put it in a 4* 60.
I have been an OS FS guy for a long, long time - but no more.
This engine fired right up, I went through 2 tanks of breakin using the OS procedure and went flying.
It performs as well as any OS that I have and I've still got some cash in my pocket !!!

That's what I've said many times. Foolish to pay OS bucks for an OS, get it with the Mgnum sign on it - the difference is a LOT of servos, fuel, or whatever.

If you insist on paying OS prices get a Saito.

Bill.
