yeah that RC and ME guy is a really nice guy, very helpful and pricing is good...he said he is getting in lipos next week at a good price.

He also helped me get a cable working with my walkera 22E and now I can use my TX on realflight G2.

Hey I Just saw this forum today, And I have been messing with the 22e for a while, and I am on my second one. I have made most my parts I broke, and was curious if the hornet rotor head parts fit on the 22e, or if any one knows where I can buy aluminum rotor head parts, like the blade nips? I saw the hornet ones and they look the same.

Oh yeah and It sucks when you learn to hover and set it down kinda hard, on its landing gear, sometimes the blades will hit the tail boom, and bend it. Did any one else have this problem, I found A good cheap replacement for the boom, If any one is interested. Slight modification will be needed. If anyone wants I will let you know.

Is anyone flying the 22E around for doing any aerobatics? I have flown the VNR3D around a little (slow figure 8's, pirouttes, etc.) and so far it is very impressive.

if anyone is looking for walkera 22e parts they are very easy to find----get the venom night ranger 3d parts---it is the same heli---all the parts are interchangable---the head design of the two are the same----heck even the damn tx are the same--just different name on the top of them

I still would like to know if hornet parts fit on the 22e. Has any one tried it?

OK,

I finally got the VNR3D into fast forward flight today.

It is much more responsive than the Blade CP and does not have the tendency to pitch up in forward flight that the Honeybee CP2 does.

The VNR3D seems to be neutrally stable in forward flight (goes where you point it, stays where you put it in terms of flight attitude) and has, thus far been extremely impressive.

Tail authority is very good, but I may adjust things to speed it up a little. I did have to adjust the gyro down when I added the Lipo (not a big deal). The tail stays right where you point it in the air.

The stock radio was dead solid, although I did not take the machine that far away (probably a couple hundred feet or so).

I have not tried any aerobatics yet.

I purchased a Walkera 22E CCPM 3D from HobbyJapan2000 and I am pleased so far with the material quality, construction and flying qualities of this helicopter. This is my third electric helicopter. I also own a Hornet FP and and Century Hummingbird FP. This is my first 3D helicopter and I'm only in the initial stages of exploring 3D flight. What I can say about the helicopter is that I recieved the helicopter within one week of ordering it online. It was well packaged and arrived in good condition from Hong Kong. The RTF helicopter cost $99 which did not include the LI Io battery upgrade $16 and express shipping $35. When I received the kit I did a complete inspection of all parts and made a minor adjustment of the main blade attachment screw and adjusted a ball joint which appeared overly tight. My initial flight was in no wind condition using the factory recommended settings for the PLT and PZT knobs. I found using these setting the helicopter was extremely responsive compared to the Hornet and Hummingbird and I did not feel confident flying with these settings. I played with the PLT and PZT knobs and found the setting the PLT to the 3 Oclock position and PZT to the 9 Oclock position to be the best setting for initial hover flight. By the way if you have no experience using the CCPM Flight Mode 1 position be prepared because it takes some time getting used to using the collective versus throttle. Anyway after flying the helicopter several days over the holiday weekend I finally was able to break something. Remember what I said about the collective well I set it down rather hard by throwing the collective quickly to the full down position which resulted in a broken landing skid. I ordered a replacement from and hope to be flying again soon. I hope this helps.

Sonex,

It sounds like our experiences are similar so far, except that I have not tried the 3D switch yet!

Not sure if this is the right thread regarding my 22E problem. But I am sure that lot of people dropped by here and hopefully can help me.

Got my Dragonfly 22E, while trimming, taped the skid to the table and after applying around 50% trouttle while tracking the main blades the ball connector on the ball linkage set (upgrade-HM-22E-Z-38) broke down. Tried to fixed with superglue but still break after applying force.

Tried also to use the standard flybar connector (HM-22E-Z-07) but the bird didn't respond to the control. I mean, swashplate is moving from side to side but when the bird is on the air, it's not controllable anymore only the throttle and yaw is working fine. Please help....

I have a Hornet and a 22E and I don't believe the parts are interchangable. The Hornet is much smaller in size. Here is a website with some limited parts for the 22E http://www.hobby4less.com.

I got the hornet super head for my 22E although they look similar the blade nips and holder are different, and will not work with the 22e. It does have the same drive shaft so the super head assy will fit with modification, but I don't recommend the design of the super head.
