These planes are great! I work with Odawg and The Drake & we've been flying the crap out of these things. Removing the lower wing proved to be fun but I took it another step and reattached the lower wings to ends of the upper wings to make one BIG wing. The climbing is B A N A N A S. Even on the lowest throttle setting. I would say at least 1 vertical foot for every 2 horizontal. Gliding is even better. I recommend that everyone interested in the mods should try it since its easy and non-permanent.
Also, speaking of night-flying...we fly ours in a warehouse & it's very easy to loose track of your Ace in the the joist so I rigged up some nav lights with 3v bobbin type batteries (CR435) and a red LED. Just tape it on and you're ready to go. Mine carried 4 lights and batteries without a problem.

I just used scotch tape so I can take them off without destroying the main wing. Turning is very responsive...about 6'-8' donuts. There's a good bit of porpoising due to the extra lift but it makes for some pretty cool stall turns, pirouette turns, and I even managed a couple of backflips coming out of a high stall. I'll try to post some video of our flights soon.

at lower speeds it's very smooth. I wouldn't add any weight. that's no fun. just try it. you'll like it.

I can attest that the extended wings add to the climbing and aglity of the plane. It also is a lot more stable. You lose a bit speed, thats why I havent done it yet. However it is still way, WAY faster than when the wings were in the lower position. (out of the box) The loops that it is able to do out of a stall, with the larger wings, is pretty badass. If bigmilo wasnt so lazy he'd go to his OWN OFFICE and get his video camera and tape this stuff. His office is really far, its like 2 doors down.....

If so there is a "Save Video" Button.
If not, I cant help you. Sorry.
I'll look into it a little more.

Here's another one of us trying to fly into the camera and a half-arsed back flip.

The first page opens fine but when *I* click on "enter site" I get the error message.

Oh, it says, Macs not supported, coming soon. Oh well.

Big Milo, nice video, I saw the back flip. Nice little indoor spot!

Just keep checking your local Toys 'R Us, KB toys, Target too, but actually go, don't call because store employees are fairly clueless. Go check personally. Little by litle they are making their way around so be patient. Keep looking, you'll find them soon!

I did a quick search for the stock number. I found it in a thread one time but cannot locate it now. If you can find it then let your fingers do the walking. Most TRU's can check each others inventory if you have thier stock number. I will keep looking when I get a chance but do some searching and see if you can find it. The thread is either here or on RC Groups. Good luck.

We got ours here about a month and a half back and have been flying the wings off them. Except ours are called the "X-Flying Club X Twin". You can get them at Jusco stores around Kuala Lumpur for RM99 (about US$25). Mine seems to have developed trouble, though - it only charges for 10 minutes and flies for two. I think it need a Lipo transplant. They're set up to mush around so anyone can fly them without crashing. In a turn, they'll hold altitude. I ended up bending the boom down.

Wow Guys, We got 'em here in Malaysia too! I've been flying one for a couple months now. Some friends also have them.

Just for info, it's sold here under a different identity. It's made by Silverlit Toys in China, and it's called the X-Flying Club R/C X-Twin, Item No. 85616. Looks like we get different colour schemes too. Price about the same as you are paying, worth every cent.

Great fun after supper outside the restaurant under the street lights at 10 O'clock at night.

Cheers from the Barfly.
