These little things are GREAT! What else is there to say about it? Let your wife fly it. She'll be more inclined not to have a s*** hemmorage when she discovers the receipt you tried to hide for 3 $$$ digits with your favorite hobby shops name at the top....

Thanks Pigboat, I was wondering about some of the teflon
products. Since I get the silicone from work (free) I spray
into a little bottle and then apply it with a brush. It drys so
I didn't figure that it retains water.
I've used graphite before on axles and don't like it.
There's a bike shop on the corner, see if I can find some of
that T-9 over there and try it.

Hi All, here is the end results of my experimentation with canards. They work great. If you have a 2005 model they let you have the same performance, but eliminate the snap roll. I like the snap roll effect and know how to recover. And it looks cool. On the 2006 model spinmaster gave the AAs more power, and on my 2006 faster controls,(2006 models are easily id'd, the charging port frame extends lower than the body of the plane) this made monowing mods a problem. The plane can fly straight up about 3 feet while porpoising(sp?). It is virtually unflyable, for me at least, at the first stage on the motor much less at full power. I test flew the canards on friday and it seemed they could work. I was going to wire them in place and then I decided to try them on my parts pl....
Anyway, I cut a slit in the body and inserted the canards. The stronger plane is now controllable and fun. If anyone is interested let me know and I'll post pic's. I chose not to secure the canards so that when I crash they pop out or move. Happy Mom's day.

...some pics would be nice....

While on this site yesterday I picked up an adware (Trojan) virus
and was bombarded with pop ups every 10 seconds. AOL deleted
the virus but it's still effecting me on this site. I can barely post
because of the constant harassment.

Are you using IE? Try using Firefox as a browser. I'm SO glad I switched to a Mac 6 years ago...

I went through AOL and they're supposed to stop these
pop ups. It's only happening on this site. I only had time
this morning to run a scan and AOL deleted 2 more adwares
so when I get home I'll check it on my comp again.

classic. just went out to maplin and board the legendry plane. there was 1 freq B left and it was at the bottom of the pile so i had to strategically get it out:

also bought a couple of diodes and did the mod for turning without throttle and it worked a charm. tryed without first jus to see but then wit its sooo much easier gliding it.

flying round my small garden in the wind and rain added to the fun and had to climb up the odd tree

quality little plane for the money

Finished up the Arrow/AA. I made it a bit heavy to get some of the speed back
from having a long wingspan. It weighs in at 24 grams. The motors being
mounted on the leading edge kept it from becoming even heavier saving me
a couple grams being added to the nose.
The wing can easily be removed making it possible to remove the RX to use
in other planes. Something I should have done before. The motors too are
easily removed from two sided tape.

The tail is removable by pulling it from small rubber blocks. I didn't mount
the antenna through the wing like I originally planned, instead it was simply
taped to the tail boom. All balanced- now if it would only quit raining.
