I need help finding supplies for building a foam cutter. I borrowed one from a guy at our flying field that was sweet and he gave me the plans. However he has since moved away and I must build one on my own. I need help finding a transformer that converts normal household current into 14-28 volts dc at 4-6 amps. I know that these used to be able to be obtained from stand up arcade games back in the 80's but I can't find anything now. Any help is appreciated!

Radical R/C used to carry foam cutters and supplies. The web address is

www.radicalrc.com

Call or send an e-mail to Dave to inquire about availability and pricing. I don't see the foam accessories listed any longer, so he may have discontinued the line.

I do not know if this is any help but I use an ordinary 10 amp car battery charger for my Foam Cutter.

I've used an old electric iron as a load, then I interrupted one of the wires in the iron's power cord and insered there a $5 variable switch (the round thingie sold in Home Depot to control the light) and the cutter. Worls like charm and cost less than $10 all together. ;-)
