My vortex has truely unlimited vertical (still accelerating straight up when I lose sight of it) with an OS 91FX. Also, it was very noseheavy with the 91 and the 1.08 weighs 6 ounces more than the 91.

Yes, 6 ounces or more. If I had it to do again I would put the throttle and nosewheel servos in the radio compartment instead of the tank compartment. No retracts, but I have seen it done and they are easy to install. I use the wheels for visual orientation in the air.

Sportflyer-RCU;
I've installed an OS91 FX, with a 13X8, and added 4.0 Ozs on the tail. fixed LG, Hightech 605 BB (High torque) servos for the Elevons, It has decent speed. flies great!
Had a problem with over controlling the stearing, I found that the endpoint should be set to no greater than 75% of the servo throw, otherwise the wheel trips-up in a turn
Total dry weight 7lbs 14ozs. Top speed 83mph
