Are booms semi-universal for different sizes. Could I get a boom for say a Raptor 40 size and get it to fit on my Falcon. The reason for my wondering is I need a boom and noone local sells Century products. Could a get a raptor or kysho boom or such and fly with that till a century booms can be ordered.

I am pretty sure the nexus and raptors are very close to the same booms, but I haven't had a century apart yet so I'm not to sure on that. I am guessing they are close too. Why cant you just go online and order one from Helix World or Century here is the address for Helix World http://66.70.182.17/index.html and here is Century's http://www.centuryheli.com/ I think your best bet would to buy one from them. I have been finding out that a lot of the parts off of other companies are interchangeable to some extent. I have called Heli World myself and asked them to measure curtain things and they have been really helpful and polite. You might want to call them and ask if they are interchangeable.

Good Luck!
Jason

If I recall correctly the Kyosho Concept booms are the same diameter, but cost twice as much and are hard to get. You can always take the old boom with you and compare them once your at the Hobby Shop.

The Century machine is pretty much a machine in of itself for parts interchangeability.

The Century, Kyosho and TSK booms are all 20mm OD.

The Raptor, Schluter, and JR are all between 22-24mm OD,
and I believe Xcells are 3/4".

So your best best would be to get ahold of a TSK 60 boom and
cut it down to meet your needs.

The Concept 30 size booms would all be much too short.

OR, just friggin order the correct part through mail order and have them UPS the right part to you the next day.
