This is a rather amazing video of a 3 year old with AFP. His name is Justin Chi. I've requested to his father to keep sending us progress videos and hopefully he will. Enjoy the video, I see a superstar on the rise!

Ditto on the girl thing. My daughter was learning to fly on G2 but got tired of it. She comes to the field with me and may pick it up later on. This kid is really going to be something. Hope he doesn't get Tennis burn out with flying.

I know exactly how you feel about your son's achievement. You must feel very very proud like the way I feel toward my son.
I started a thread titled "Youngest 3D Pilots - Are you teaching your kids to fly At what age" please come and talk about your son more and post some pics there.

Here is the link;

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3375254/anchors_3375254/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#3375254

Please talk about good, bad, frustrations etc while teaching.

This kid is not my Son I just happened to see him fly at an airshow at a local club. Was very impressed with his flying. My kids are much older.

Thanks all for the encouraging comments!

His 2nd AFPD video is up. I am waiting for AeroFlyPro.com to host it.
He now has landing and takeoff in more controlled fashion. He still tries to do rolling harrier without rudder input so is is wobbly. I guess he has seen too many TOC videoes as pulls up and outside loop to a inverted elevator and harrier.

It is not as good as when he plays around on AFPD. I guess he is camera shy.

Absolutely Awesome!
I've begun teaching my 8 year old grandson this fall using a Kadet Sr we built this fall.
He has video game fingers and is progressing fast. Three sessions and he is demonstrating level flights smooth approaches on the buddy chord.
He is itchin to land now... I told him no take-offs until he has learned to land.
Never having had experianced the RC simulators I was amazed by the video. What sim is he using? Aerofly??
I'm contemplating an older version of GP G2 for the price. Would this be good for teaching a young'in on? Not sure I can convince the wife that I need $190 for a sim... but then you never know!

aerospot:

Did you watch the video today? The video server has been down for past few days.
As for the sim, yes it is aeroflypro. Since your grandson is of video game age, I imagine he will be most interested in 3D flying. For this, nothing can touch aeroflypro. Most of the flegeling aerobatic pilots at my field converted to aeroflypro from realflight g2 and g3 for its superior 3d flying capability.
