I purchased the Wal-Mart/Stanley brand rolling toolbox on sale for $19.95. The construction was pretty straight forward except for the custom made PVC "Y" connectors. Turns out the they don't make Y's that small so I had to modify two 90 degree elbows and secure them to with thick CA and #8 screws. The PVC tubes and pumps are secured to the box with 1/4" ply backplates (I included pics of this).

I'm building a Super Skybolt with smoke, so I needed a field box to pump/carry smoke oil and glow fuel as well. This was solved using an OR switch from Radio Shack to toggle between the smoke and glow pumps. The fuel jugs are 64oz Rubbermaid juice containers: one is for smoke, one is for 2 stroke fuel, and the last is for reserve 2-stroke/4 stroke fuel. All that remains is to run the plumbing from the fuel jugs to the pumps and make a lid for the battery conpartment.

Thank you very much for the explanation and detailed photos. That is such a clever setup, very original. I've kicked around a lot of ideas for a field box from buying to building but nothing really seemed right. Your design solves a lot of problems at once. Plent of room for tools, batteries, starters, fuel etc. and the PVC setup holds the plane up high enough so you don't have to stoop over to work on it. The best part, ..... it's on wheels!!

The actual stand is just a milk crate, not ver exciting. The plan is to build the perminant stand on the rear of the war wago so everything is there and accessable.

I also took a cordless drill and adapted the battery to my starter so I have rechargable, replaceable battery power on my starter.

Status: offline 		The pull handle also comes off and can be replaced with a trailer hitch so I can pull it with the golf cart if I'm feeling extremely lazy. Handy at big meets like nats...

You could start adjusting your needle valve as the other guy is about
to putt or tee off. ( LOL)
(or buzz the green at a tournament)

All kidding aside a closer pic of what you have done with the fuse's on your avenger copies would
would give me an advantage at the local club.

Status: offline 		I thought so, I knocked some off using plastic bats from the dolar store.
I also came up with a fuse for SSC using golf club protector tubes and the tip of a plastic bat there are pics on page 3 of this forum "SSC plastic fuse for simitar" but it is a generic SSC fuse. it gives a nice flat wing bearing surface. I think it will be tougher than all get out and it builds QUICKLY Someone said it looks like a shotgun and that would be a cool name.
