I've been using Omega 10% in all my engines for years with no apparent problems. What's the difference-if any- between the fuels. BTW, Omega says it's a castor/ synthetic blend but does anyone know how much castor?

That tells us that their 4-stroke fuel is just their 15% fuel with a new label :-)

A Witch Doctor circles the bottle four times and says some incantations. When the 2s fuel goes by, he just shrugs his shoulders. Looks like 15% is the magic number. The Omega bottle also says not to add after run oil-that's good to know.

It's a lot of marketing and hype.

Every fuel company web site that lists the ingredients with any level of detail shows there is often no difference in various blends other than possibly the color of dye they use.

One site, in the FAQs, even says that. From what I read, four stroke fuels used to have lower oil content and heli fuel had higher oil, than regular two stroke sport fuel. When many of the formulas became the same they were afraid they'd lose market share if they got rid of the specialty labels and sold fuel based mainly on the nitro percentage.

For whatever brand you choose, try to find the web site and do some comparison of the blends. If they don't list info online, pick up the phone and ask them what the differences are. If the differences are "a secret" when it comes to oil type and amount, you have to decide whether you want to stick with that brand. Don't just automatically pay "specialty" price for a different color of "regular" fuel.
