Hi I just recieved my Brushless motor and ESC ,on the forum they say to connect the ESC to the Batt and pu the reciver wire to #3, but do I have to removed any of the other wires on the reciver ie.#4 ,#6 or just leave them all plugged in??? Will the ESC do the rest..I moved my motor away from my pinion to set it up...Please let me know...

your brushless set up is all you need .....plug the battery and where it goes and plug the other wire from your brushless speed control into channel 3 and forget all other wires ...just plug in everything else where it goes ....get all vibration out of your heli ...all.

Xcell123 see my post for that tip ...see my profile ...new stuff on 36

Yeah so I pluged the Motor and ESC ,it comes on and the motor goes "da na da na" then its as if it wants to do something but nothing happens. I can move the props around but the motor wont turn and I cant move the main props left and right..Should I take off the gyro? Is that messing it up???Thanks

OK I have the same ESC I think, let's begin, my esc beeps twice, once saying "power on" which is the first time. Then it beeps again saying "got signal PUNCH IT" if it doens't have signal it won't go, this sounds like the problem. I'll say that the plug is in the wrong spot, I used number four, so it should go right next to the tail servo plug in the Rx. PLEASE don't put the gyro on the motor, that's a mistake I made as both of the wires going to the two look the same. ALSO a common problem is having the plug in backwards, so flip it around and re-plug.

PS: the power wires should be in parallel (patched directly into) the wires that go into the battery female connector.

    To sum up ...

    N.A setup

    1 - aileron
    2 - elevator
    3 - throttle
    4 - tail/rudder
    5 - unused /gyro settings
    6 - collective

Battery -> two wire side of esc
Three wire side of esc -> Motor
servo connection from esc -> ch# 3 on the receiver
The existing battery plug and motor connection from the receiver and be taped to the receiver as they will no longer be used. All the other servo's are left as is. This is assuming you are using the walkera receiver. If not, there won't be extra plugs

If by moving the main props left and right you mean the aileron/elevator functions are not working then you may not have the servo plug connected right ways around to the receiver as thecheatscalc suggested. Check the wire colors against the existing servo connections to the receiver to ensure the proper orientation. Signal = yellow/white, + power = red/orange, ground = black/brown generally. If this doesn't fix the problem, proceed to the next item.

If the motor won't spin up at all there is a good chance the esc is not seeing 0 throttle. You made need to adjust the throttle trim downwards to enable it to spin up. If that doesn't help you could also try reversing the throttle channel (after securing the heli and being ready to unplug the battery if things go awry).

I just received my Align 420LF and 25A ESC w/governor mode. There are no battery connectors with it.
How has everyone else connected it to the battery?

I guess I should have ordered something when I ordered this stuff. I thought I'd have everything I needed.
I suppose I can cut the one off the receiver and just replace it later.

Are the Deans plug available everywhere? I'm assuming you put one on your ESC, one on the battery and one on the charger, right?

got a walkera brushless motor for my 36 but it is the medium size and just barely fits. the short one is 10mm less in length. i got the longer one to fit but it is very tight. will this be a problem? will it make the frame weaker or stonger in a crash? it is still a 380 brushless just longer , will performance be any different? any and all opinions are appreciated.

also had a bad experience with hobby e-store. they are in the U.S.A. but still order their parts from asia.

Do not put the main motor into #4. That is the rudder channel. #3 is the throttle.
