can anyone tell me what the three wires on the li-po battery are for? And if only two wires need to be connected to an align cell balancing charger? Thank you, Jay!

If you have a battery that can be connected to the Align balance charger it needs to have the small additional connector on the battery for balance charging. (seperate to the main leads) Its usually 3-4 pins. It can do series charging too but I think it needs an adaptor.

The battery i have is the walkera li-po 1500mah battery, it has 3 wires coming out of it. A black, white and a red. i was wondering if all these should connect to the charger or whether just the black and red? The 11.1V charging adaptor it came with has only one black and one red. Do i just connect these two to the black and red on the battery?

Actually, I read this on another post. Seems if you got the Walkera one its non-standard:::

If you got a BRUSHLESS model or got the 1500 mAh LI-Poly - ****DO NOT CHARGE YOUR LI-POLY with the charger from WALKERA under any circumstances - You will need to get a dedicated LI-POLY charger and change the power connectors again. I repeat - DO NOT CHARGE YOUR LI_POLY with the CHARGER SHIPPED WITH YOUR HELI - Walkera are now aware of the problem and are addressing it. THEY DO NOT DO THIS ON PURPOSE - Its a misunderstanding they had.

    The Batteries unusually have 3 leads coming from them - 1 Red - 1 White - 1 - black.
Red and black supply power out while running the Heli - HOWEVER ON CHARGING the BLACK wire IS - NEGATIVE and the WHITE wire is + POSITIVE IN to the battery from the charger. We have tested these thoroughly and that's how it is, We have had no problem with them charging with the CORRECT - LI-POLY charger and they are very good reliable batteries.

I can attest to that. I have been using two of the walkera/ebay lipos on my T-rex and they have both worked wonderfully. Unfortunately, I damaged one of them and have had to turn it into a 2s pack but now I can use that for other things.

these are 3x3mm METRIC screw, I know, I replaced one once, but found the propper one again, good luck on finding a set screw that small, I couldn't find one at ace hardware, but maybe you'll be lucky, I had to use a headed screw (it was on the flybar, luckily)

i searched everywhere i could think of with no luck.i didn't want to pay $5 bucks for a 20 cent screw but i buckled and went to the lhs and du-bro has 4 of these screws for only $1.30 . what a bargain. anyway just wanted to pass that on and maybe save someone else some time. peace.

i bought my 36 about a month ago. it came with the 1100 mah batt, walkera 3200 brushless motor w/18a speed controller. i also have had a good experience with my bird. no rx/tx problems, honestly i was impressed( i have a dragonfly 4 and wow what i difference between the two. i have also crashed my heli although nothing too major. i am currently waiting on an all aluminum rotorhead to install. let you know haw it does. what i need to know is if any of the zoom/shogun alum tail pieces will work on a 36?

also it seems to me that who you bought your heli from makes a big impact on whether or not you like/dislike the 36 all in all i think it is a good heli for the money!!!!
