It will fly with just about anything......The way it sounds.....

It seems that the large 4 strokes shake things loose..... But the more you think about it, the saito gas would be a smoother running engine
than it's GLow brother due to the ignition timing.....Now, I am not saying stick that one in this plane..
The only thing that would be holding me back on that one is the Price of the engine, and that extra weight that engine would put on this
airframe....... It would make it quite heavy....

Throttle servo mounted on firewall/ onboard glow/batteries placed up front ===== Dick Pettit

Scale Tailwheel ====== Wile E

Dual Elevator Servos ===== Samuel Parfitt

Aileron servos concealed in wing ===== Feathermerchant

Mine came out 13.5 lbs, no weight needed in the nose . apart from the above changes I installed a "Y" connector inside the wing so I only have one extension from wing to fuse for the ailerons. I also sprayed an automotive "Satin" coat to get rid of that plastic monocote look.

Do you have any pictures of your evo 26gt install. I am in the process of assembling my hawk and have the 26gt, Kelvin's scale exhaust and someplace in the Canada Post system a 3 blade solo prop. I'd like to see how you did your install before I get that far down the road.

You're going to love the sound of your four stroke with the Keleo exhaust. I have mine on an OS 120 III w/pump and you'd swear it sounds like a multi-cylinder engine.

Incidentally I talked to Kelvin at Keleo Creations a couple of days ago and he said that he's planning to discontinue making the P-6E exhaust soon so anyone thinking about ordering one had better get the order placed. I'm glad I got mine

It looks like you improved upon Wile E's tail wheel design. How did you make yours? Do you have any construction photos? can you describe the work. I am assembling my Hawk now and would like to scale out the tail wheel.

Status: offline 		So I got the saito 180 and the keleo pipes running today and all I can say is yaaa hoooo that sounds so nice.. I will have a maiden as soon as I get the final button up on the cowl and some good weather

Status: offline 		You are going to love the Saito 180 in your Hawk!
Word of advice use Locktite! My Saito 180 and 220 remove screws in minutes of run time!
You may want to use a Metal/rubber washer on your cowl screws.(My Aeroworks Yak came with them)

Status: offline 		Thanks for the advice. I have already used lock tite on the engine mounts and should be ok. As for the cowl I was thing of using some thread inserts and locktite on them as well.

Status: offline 		Just read a post here that their P-6 came out at 13.5 pounds. I did mine pretty stock except the engine which is a G-38, mine came out at 18 lbs with no balance weight added. It baanced perfectly at the recommended CG with that engine. Wondering if my scale is off? Any others care to post the weights of their P-6s?

Status: offline 		I would suspect your scale, mine came in at 12.5 lbs with a 25cc gasser.
