My local shop has one of these kits in and it looks nice for 100 bucks. I have not really been into Cars much but I have a little Electric Rustler that I love and plan on getting a T-Maxx.
The Ford kit would be more of a fun project. Something to really experiment with and take pride in when it is finished. I would like to Add lights etc to it.
I have built 5 planes and two helicopters so I am not worried about the challenge. I am really just looking for the overall quality of the kit. And it is worth a c-bill.

Thanks a bunch guys and gals.

P.S. What is a good Radio system for a car? I am not looking for expensive but have no problem paying extra if the system is really worth it. THe shop also has a Futaba radio with a reciver and two Servos for 59.00

Well if it's for putzing around and or to have as a trophy on the shelf it will be more than enough. But if you want a little more oomph behind what comes out of the box then get ready to spemd a little more than a 100 bucks unless you already have a speed controller, and radio w/ receiver and servo. I had one before and sold t already but I can get information on it for you. Or you can visit Tamiya's website and look for the TL01 chassis since that is it's designation.

The TL-01 is kinda limited performance wise but is a decent value for a sport car (or truck in this case) and has a reasonable price tag. You will want to buy a bearings kit for this it really does make a difference. As for the radio any decent 2 channel will do. Also do youself a favor, the MSC that comes with the thing is JUNK. Get a good ESC.

One thing to also consider is there are many places that run a stock Tamiya class where the TL-01 is a good contender if you have interest in racing.

Well your not going to like this then, my LHS had them for $88.00 awhile back and you can get them for $82 from Tower Click Here They are an older kit and not the best. They are fun if you race them in a stock class. They can be competitive there.
