Your stand looks great! Did you have any problems with the plans? I was thinking of drawing them up in CAD and was curious if there were any problems or areas in the plans that needed improvement. Thanks for sharing your work.

Hi Greg,

The only problem was a slight lack of attention on my part when measuring. Oher than that it was just dandy.

I really appreciate your kindness.

Oscar

PS: Cad would be great for a lot of people that have access to it. I DO.

Your going to make my head swell with this "greatness" stuff. I appreciate the compliment though and I'm glad to be able to help by giving out these plans. I'm glad that they are going to good use. If anyone needs a copy, just email me.

Thanks, Greg

I have found a few mistakes in the plans I have been sending out this past year. If you have a set of these plans, email me and I will send you a suppliment sheet for the plans. The mistakes are minor, however it could be a pain in the butt trying to figure out a couple of the dimensions. The suppliment sheet will clear up these gray areas in the drawings.

If you need a copy of the Field Stand plans, send me your email address and I will send you out a set. The plans now have the corrections incorporated in them. Also, the price is right because they are free

Thanks, Greg gfinan@cox.net

Stand in your trunk. I built this stand to fit in the truck of my Crown Vick. I have use it over a year and have be very pleased. It has been used with 40 size planes up to 180 size. Note this stand is in two sections and held together with wire pins. See photos. I have no plans. I saw one made out of 3/4 inch PVC and I just went and made mine out of 1 inch PVC saying to myself "that looks about right". I find this stand to be more stable than the ones made out of 3/4' PVC. But it does cost more.

Greg- I have built 4 of your stands so far and didn't catch the mistake. The only problem I had was that the legs and tray would rub each other slightly if they were not perfectly straight, or the holes for the pivot bolts were not aligned properly. Is this the problem you were talking about?

Thanks again,
David
