Anybody know anything about those Raidentech speed controllers? They are "Tamiya-standard style-SD-MC10ADP Speed Controller." They are $10 or $11 on their website. They replied to my email that they were 35 amp. But when it got here, it didn't look anything like the one they show in pictures. This thing hsa TWO switches (one pushbutton, one slide) and 2 connectors (one battery? one receiver?) and 2 wires, 1 red, 1 blue. The 2 switches and the receiver(?) connector come out of one end of the thing and the 2 motor(?) and the battery(?) connector come out of the other end. When I emailed them back, they sent me a message saying, "sorry no instructions basic: red to red blak to blak yellow to yellow or check out rcuniverse for help." So I did! HELP!! Anybody? Thanks, Bil2

Hi,

I've been playing with the exact same speed controller and after quite a bit of messing about, I've finally worked it out I think!

setup:
- transmitter turned off
- battery disconnected from speed controller(thick white plastic connector with 2 wires)
- speed controller plugged into receiver(thin black connector with white, red and black wires)
- motor wired between the big thick red and blue single wires

1)connect battery to the speed controller, and if neccessary turn the slider switch to on (any servos also plugged in might start juddering a bit)
2)briefly push the little round switch (my motor spins up for a second and stops)
3)turn on the trasmitter and try all the controlls, one of the channels should now connect to the motor. although sadly it only seems to work in 'forwards' (I'm building a hovercraft from scratch and I'd like a bit of reverse thrust if I can get it, but oh well)

I've also noticed that if the battery charge drops much below 5V it cuts out power to the motor but not the servos(so you can carry on controlling a plane to land it?), if it was just temporary because the battery is being drained too much then a quick push of the little round switch seems to 'reset' it and it works again! I use little 9V pp3 batteries when testing things so if anything shorts there is no smoke and flames

Anyway, hope it works for you or at least gives you pointers to try.

Thanks, Badger _ I'm printing out yr msg & will put in my file. FYI, I went back to Raidentech just this wk, and they have a pretty good explanation of these speed controls there, too. Not as precise as yrs, but you can gain some understanding. Also learned that its NOT 35 amp, but 22 amp. Hard to beat for the price, if you need 22 amps. Thanks again, Bil
