Not yet. I sat in one this summer and it was like sitting in a greenhouse with that big canopy. Now that it has cooled off I hope to get out there soon and hop in it.

KK,

Have you flown the Katana at Tipton yet ? I have seen quite a few of them at Ridgley, they look like fun.......

If you ever need an annoying side seat pilot let me know, we can split the cost, might be fun, I know your dad is really hoppin' to get in that one !

Thought for the day:

Hey ya'll are missing some good flying weather. Three good days this week. I say go on a field inspection, tell 'em the dog's sick, your Dutch uncle died, or call in well but do SOMETHING! Do anything to get out of work if you have to! We're not likely to see many more like we had this week. Take a long lunch (DD) and take advantage of it.

Tuesday and Wednesday were perfect although today was a bit gusty and blowing just enough at your back to make it interesting. Only funny stuff up today though. Full rudder crabs just to keep 'em over the runway. Floating in like butterflies if you got it right!

Even with the blow nothing remarkable happened except the "Levin Bowl" almost swallowed up Charlie's Funtana. I swear I saw the hand of God come right up and slap the plane out of the air. A truely frightening sight! (Sorry to bring this up again Jay but this thread has been much too boring of late) Although his P factor maxed out for a second or two Charlie did manage to pull it out with a whole 20' to spare.

Tomorrow looks good too! What do you say to a rockin' roll Friday? Cocktails at sundown (Shirley Temples, of course)?

I've got a local ballfield I go to during lunch. I'll probably be out Saturday morning.

I think the Irish has the right idea.....much rather be out and about !

BTW: That wasn't God, that's just Charlie's technique, keeps it exciting

Jeff, I see you're in College Park. I am too. Where do you fly during lunch? I stop by Acredale every now and then.

I work in the Layhill area of Silver Spring, so I go to a local park off Layhill Rd. I've been to Acredale a few times, it's nice to take the kids there and let them run around while I fly a little. It's also a nice place to run our nitro truck. The last time we were there, though, the playground was littered with broken glass thanks to some unknown idiots, so we haven't been back.
