usetoflyalot, that's a good indian name huh ? Obviously, you did not try hard enough to create any drama.....

Off to fly today....

Thought of the day:

A single lifetime, even though entirely devoted to the sky, would not be enough for the study of so vast a subject. A time will come when our descendants will be amazed that we did not know things that are so plain to them.— Seneca, Book 7, first century AD

Cheers,

I won't buy it, but I will trade you a twin star for it? Check out our website, all of the specs are there.

Lack of post here is sad ! Come on guys, is there more to life than flying ?

Even Albert, where are you man ?!?!?!?!?!

Thought for the day:

We contrive to make the invisible air support us, we relinquish the security of feet on the ground because flying is demanding, delightful, beautiful: because we love it. Very few of us are actually crazy, and nearly all of us manage the risks as well as we can, but we all willingly trade some of our security for the immeasurable beauty of the sky.

Hey..... there IS more to life than flying. It's called WORK

Anyways, I guess you all heard that on MY very first flight with the Funtana (after MT had maidened it), the pilot decided to bail out just after take off, as I was turning cross wind. Yeah, I forgot to put the canopy screws back in Thankfully I got it down safely, and had a good talk with the pilot

I'm still trying to tune the YS110 engine I have on it - all the flights last weekend ended with a dead stick, but apparently this is not uncommon. I've done a lot of reading and asked a lot of questions, so hopefully next time out should be better. I'm also playing around with the cg point, so as to get better stability without giving up too much 3d capability.

Blessings!

Albert

Where is your CG now? Mine is around 6 3/4 to 7". Mine flys both 3D and pattern pretty well. Lands very well and no major problems. I just heard from Dave Micheals that Saito is coming out with a 125 that is the same weight and size as the 100. Man, I might have to swap out engines!!!!!

I put my cg at the manual specified 71/8, but this appears to be too far back. I'm going to start at 61/2 and see how that works out.

Thanks, and see ya soon.

Blessings!

Nah, put it at 6 3/4. That is a perfect starting point. You will be fine with that CG. Mike McConville stated the following

I'll bet the 125 will run hot ! You can't keep boring it out and expect it to continue to disapate heat.

Albert, the balance was fine for 3D

Nah, swap out airplanes and sell it to me. I don't have enuff Funtana's yet.

Incidentally, the last Funtana you sold me has remarried and had a new baby. Here is a recent photo of the entire Funtana family (Charlie's 90, my 40 & mini). Note Mom is very patriotic and is wearing her new 4th of July outfit...
