I must have ordered one of the last ones, as they showed kit is discontinued again moments later.

Hey guys, looking for some programming help for a Bonanza my father is building.
I'm letting him use my 10X for control. I just build and fly giant scale aerobatics so I'm not real familiar with V-tails and such.
Looking for some ideas how to set this up on a JR 10X.
It will have 9 servos total
left and right ailerons
left and right flap
left and right ruddervators
throttle
retracts
nose wheel steering

any help would be appreciated
thanks
Steve

Well, I think I am just going to start out with 1 straightforward program before I go into creating flightmodes for it.
A program that will include the retracts and flaps. Once we get some flights on it then I would probably create a flightmode for
take offs and landings and one for general flying. That way I can have the nose steering actrive only in that flightmode
same with flaps.
I never had flaps on any of my planes so I'm not sure If I should just connect them with a Y harness into 1 channel
or slave an aux. channel to the flaps.
My thoughts are to start out with the flap switch adding a small amount of flaps to get an idea how the plane reacts with flaps
from there maybe add 3 positions into the flightmode I make for takeoffs and landings.

I don't really need a step by step program. Just a general idea of what you guys are flying the Bonanza with.

thanks
Steve

well you will be surprised how it flies with full flaps down nose does not ballon up at all, I used a y harness for flaps and ailerons, not that you can used slave channel but I only had and 8 channel reciever and ran out of channels, I did slave in a channel for nose wheel steering, but the airplane is a great flier and lands like a trainer

Try and buils as light as possiable mine came out around 15 lbs with retracts glass and paint I did have to put 12oz in the nose to balance as has everyone who has built one, just hope TF reads these treads and brings it back, because I would like to build another one, the CG on the plans is wrong they to have an Adendem 51/2 from the leading edge thats where I balanced mine

thanks for tip about the CG. I went back through and read some other post in this and other threads about the Bonanza.
That would have gotten the heart rate up had we balanced according the plans !!
The plane is almost at the finishing stage. He is going to glass it and I will probably be the one to paint it for him.
thanks for the help

Steve

Someone should build an areobatic version. Check out my 68 E33C. I'm tempted to dive off into an extensive TF build. My wife is rolling her eyes.

I have purchased a complete Bonanza with a Saito 1.5 4 stroke engine. I have been going thru the plane (hasn't been flown in a few years) making it airworthy and I am wondering about the engine mount. Should there be any right and/or down thrust? The previous owner knows nothing about the plane and the manual doesn't say anything.

Regards,
Jerry
