quote:

LOL get this, i tell a guy at the LHS that pavidis ran with the V spec. He tells me I have no clue what i'm talking about because he was running an odonell modified engine at silverstate, which automatically means he didnt run with a OS engine at the ifmars. then he asked if i was there, i said no, he said ha, they just swap out the engine, put in a cheapy and promote it.
This is Kemos statement from the other thread. any comment on this one? i think this is a serious accusation isn't it?

all this for 2.80 kls without tires, fuel, and servo batts.

Just added KF ST Hingepins(more strength!) and the two shock KF towers. My bug is getting better and better, at the moment this bug is a shelf queen awaiting for the nationals. i'm getting hungry for it. Hope this thread comes back alive again.

Only you'll see this bug dirty when it gets to the nationals. oh man when will it ever happen again, i really hope so soon.

I got a Tip about servo plates. whoever is using standard servo plates, put a hard rubber cushion underneath the servo in this way you'll never have to upgrade servo plates, coz it won't bend anymore even in continuous high jumps. those rubber is your money saver.

and oh this is how i turn my engine off. hope it helps.

Ok i stand corrected. this is a wrong way to turn off the engine, probably as it dies more unburned fuel will get into the engine as a result
the engine would be drowned and you 'll have a difficulty in starting is that it Dave? or there are other more reasons?

Do not choke the engine at the airfilter it is not good at all. Either bump the flywheel or pinch the fuel line to stop the engine. Also if your setting that thing up for the nationals put the plastic arms back on they are extremly strong, and all the aluminum does is way it down.

Thanks David, i'm actually going to put the plastic arms back, ( most probably, the store where i bought the alloy arms from wouldn't take it back so i might as well keep it for bling). Ok, i won't choke the airfilter no more, good thing the warning is early, so far 3 of my engine is still good. Hey not talking about us nationals just the national race in Manila if there'll ever be. Last time i think was three years ago.

D, i got a question for you, is it ok to make fuel lines long enough to hold additional fuel just to make an extra lap? i have this in my head just last night so far i haven't tested it yet. ( yeh the problem is where to place them - this might be the dummiest thing i've ever imagine

It depends for a club race and such it is okay, but if it is ROAR or IFMAR or any other sancioning body race they will most likley spec your tank for capacity. They basically completly fill the fuel system than drain the fuel into a measuring device to see if your over or not. With most cars you can get away witha good bit of fuel line, but alot of times guys have to remove there second fuel filter.

That was a cool answer D, i know i'm talking to a pro here . wow i think there's still more to learn. now i know the main reason why some racers use double filters. So winning at the IFMAR is really SOMETHING or you're really SOMEBODY anyone could really be proud of.

My wife is about to deliver another baby boy anytime this week, SHe ask me what will be his name, i told her Yuichi will be a good name.
She ask me then, where did u get that name? it's nice. i didn't say a thing i just looked at her and smiled & faced back my computer.

I have never seen anyone test it yet, but I read in a mag that one guy at the worlds was .5 cc over and the kicked him out. I do not go to big races though so no biggy to me, they are all way to far away. One bad thing about making the fuel tubing longer is it takes away some bottem end punch, not so bad if you have a super tourqey engine.

Well it's almost here, Some stores in the UK are taking pre orders.

World Champion 2006-7!

Based on the MP777 SP2, the new WC Edition will include many of the option parts developed over the last year in anticipation of the World Championship race. Each of the upgraded parts makes incremental improvements to what is already the most successful line of competition nitro off-road racers in the history of RC racing.

Features...

- Partially equipped with titanium screws
- SP heavy-duty aluminum front chassis brace (IFW323F)
- SP heavy-duty aluminum rear chassis brace (IFW323R)
- 2 Pair of ACRE bonded semi-metallic brake pads (IFW324)
- Hard front lower suspension arm (IF330H)
- Hard rear lower suspension arm (IF331H)
- Hard wing mount (IF121H)
- Hard dish wheels (IFH001)
- 14T SP clutch bell (IFW47)
- 48T lightweight spur gear (IFW325)
- New rear shock tower with new camber mounts
- New, heavy-duty shock diaphragms

This is a race-spec kit and requires radio gear, engine and pipe to complete.

Hmm... the only real change I see on that list is the new rear shock tower and harder plastic. The brakes... a well I use Cradock breaks and they're way cheaper.
