Status: offline 		What is the most common buggy? Where i race it is mostly X-ray's and thunder tiger. I am the only one that i have seen runing a SP1.

- when swapping the LSD out what diff are you putting in, is it just the same as the rear diff.

Status: online 		Yes the diff is the same as the rear. Actually all you need to do is get $16 worth of gears to make the change. No need to swap the entire diff unless you plan on keeping one as a spare.

Status: offline 		Hello, I just purchased a mp777 sp2 rolling chassis and would like your recommendation on which engine, electronics,... are best suited for this buggy. Also any hop ups to make this even better?

No need to upgrade anything really. Maybe some Alu chassis braces and Cradock disc brakes.

Status: offline 		Hello Guys, I've stumbled across this forum again after registering last year. It's excellent plenty of hints and tips.

I've just upgraded my SP1 for an SP2 and am going to race the sp2 in May. I have alway ran the TCD (lsd) in the front and centre.

But I see yous guys have no time for them, Is it really worth getting rid of them? I run rough tracks regularly.

I have basically ran my sp1 by the book, except took out the negative camber.

The Sp2 is sort of by the sp1 book and by a set up sheet that came with it.

How do you guys rate the fioroni torsion diffs? Any other hints and set ups for the sp2 would be greatly appreciated as it's first race is looming.

Status: online 		To start with the SP2 doesn't have TCD diffs, unless you got the upgrade kit for the SP1.

I've never ran without them myself so I can't tell what the real difference is. I run on a pretty well track with a few bumps and uneven spots and haven't had an issue with them.
They are supposed to work really good if the track is smooth. They do give a lot of off power steering and since they are of a limited slip type they lock up under power going out of corners giving a nice pull.

Torsens are a whole different story (never tried those either) but they work directly opposite to a 'normal' open diff. They send power to the wheel with the most grip versus a normal diff that sends power to the wheel with the least grip. Normal diffs make the car run smoother and consistent on bumpy and rutted tracks while a torsen would make it handle inconsistet. A torsen will work extremely good on a smooth track.

I'd like to try a torsen myself but they are $100+ each.

Status: offline 		I have the MP777 SP2 Millenium Edition which comes with the TCD. Is there much of a difference. I know they look similar to the LSd from my Kanai 2.

Status: online 		Those are the same. TCD and LSD is the same, just a different name. TCD is the Kyosho name for LSD.

Status: offline 		When I built my Kanai 2 and MP777 SP1 the manual referred to LSD (limited slip differential) and LSD oil.

The MP777 SP2 referrs to TCD (traction control differential) and TCD oil.

I reckoned but could be wrong that the pitch of the LSD gears is steeper than the TCD.

Status: offline 		Don't run the tcd or lsd-----all you need to do is buy one set of standard diff gears for 10-16 dollars-----Amain hobbies or carolinas.com. Then run 4000f------7000c----2000r diff oil----if the track is really ruff change to 5000f-----5000c-----1000r.

Status: offline 		Unfortunatly i dont hav a kyosho 777 at all and i am still with the old kyosho inferno MP7.5 But i have modified alot!! I hav the full carbon fibre kit and new shocks and chassie.
I do want a 777 sp2 kit but for one thing they r way to expensive and i still need the engine and radio gear so i will hav to wait.

A few questions but clone3 how much did it cost you for the whole black alloy kit, they are Italian racing parts i think or made there anyway but how much and how are they?

Is there going to be a new 777 kit like say the SP3 or a totaly different name for the car? just curious
