I ran the SP1 befor the Sp2 and I had it set up and running excellent. The SP2 seemed really different, The steering was excellent but I kept toppling it, I was getting a lot of grip roll until I changed tyhe tyres.

When I built it it only came with an SP1 manual and a Pro set up sheet. I'm quite interested in what rear camber suits this buggy (turnbuckle measurement)

run 3 deg in the rear(1 /2 each side)--------if you still are getting alot of traction roll----cutt-off the outside row of lugs on the tires.

jimk-----change your oil in the rear to: 40 and run the universals level all the way around-----toss the tcd for the standard and run 4-5 in the front-----run 6 in the center/if track is really bumpy run 5. run 2 in the rear.--------run 1 1/2-2 deg toe out with 22 deg caster blocks. run 2.5 deg antisquat with 3 deg toe-in + 3 deg camber in the rear-----run proline crime fighters with the grey insert and featherlite rims------run allum shoes with 1.0 springs-----note------if track is really loose run carbon shoes or drop down 1 mm with a carb restrictor----you could also try to arc the throttle on your radio if you have that function---------
------------------------the sp2 likes to be pushed hard and fast-----the car will handle better the harder you push it-------have fun

Thanks for the advice guys. I spent most of yesterday evening altering my set up on the sp2.

It handled a lot better today, And I have removed TCD and am runing 5-7-1, 50wt shock oil front and 40 rear.

I was thinking about adding a carb resticter today as the 421B seems to have too much power especially bottom end.

Thanks again Clone3 for the additional advice It will be used and I know where to ask for other qusestions.

Well I competetively raced my SP2 for the first time with the set up given, It handled very well and stuck to the track, The steering I would say was a bit of a let down though. I seemed to have a lot of over steer. Evertime I tried to corner at speed it would head wide. I extended my EPA to the max but gained very little. The track was hard compact clay like surface and very wet so I moved up to angle spikes for the final.

Sounds like under steer rather than over steer to me.
Mine always under steer when entering a corner on power. I just let off the gas and it dives right in (this is the SP1 with TCD in front).

For increased stability I've been running 1 deg toe-in up front and it works real good. It took out some of the twitchy feeling. Slightly less turn-in but way more stable. Moving the shocks to the inner hole on the shock tower gave back some front grip.

I have just purchased the C6, I heard the RB 2020 pipe suits the new RB range and is efra legal too as it is 3 chamber.

And SManMTB thanks for correcting me your right it is under steer

the 2020 is a great pipe choice for that mill---once broke-in a race tunned you will only get 6-6 1/2 min on a tank with that setup. We swithched to the RB 063 pipe with the long header and run the 7mm restrictor------we are getting 8 mins a tank.

How did you like it mgtman?

Very similar to what I'm going to run mine with:

Diffs (f,c,r): 3,4,2
Shocks (f,r): 45, 40. SP1 blue springs
13t clutch
Kyosho 1.0mm clutch springs + racers edge black teflon/carbon

TTR PRO21B-R + OS T-2050. 8mm carb insert + home made engine mods. Ran 7mm insert in the SP1 a week ago but I need a bit more top end power.

how did i like it cant even describe it ,i cant belive i waited that long
the steering was amazing and i have to get used to it a little, powered great around the tight turns .
its the steering and the power coming in and out of turns that still has me in shock .made the a main did not place but did have a huge smile on my face ,so i would say i like it extremly
easiest thing i raced by far
