Thanks for the reply,
i did try with large flat head, it's a no go....and also with the spinning the wheel it's not working either...
now i'm going to disassemble the diff, and maybe see something from there...

i wish we were neighbors so i could drop by ur place and fix it together :-) try spray it with WD40 then put in some oil try to losen it then. there must be loads of rust between the bearing and the shaft because most people doesn't lube their bearing because they are affraid that dirt get stuck on their parts. i think you should also check your clutch bell bearing too specially the inner one coz most probably they so worn already. remember those bearings are cheaper than your center diff gears and the clutch bell . If both bearings from the clutch bell gets damage during operation there's a possibility that you might lose both the clutch bell and the 46T light weight spur gear.

94corvette,
What wheel are you talking about? Spur gear on the center diff? Do you have a manual? It will shows you all the screws, set screws and pins you need to disassemble it.

The front CVD was stuck to the pinion gear that goes through the gear box?

Anyway, you got it off.. cool deal!

Either engine is just fine. Pretty much all RB engines are flawless. If you plan to run on a smaller sized track get the one with the less ports, but if want to run on larger tracks then go with more ports.

question i never really messed with my steering acerman ,messed with all different diff set ups and shock set ups and left the steering acerman the way it was by the book, what will it do if i move it closer to the front of the vehicle hole, which will give me the best steering ?

car set up depends on the kind of race track you are using, so many factors to consider like height of jumps, length of straights, sharp curves, bmx style terrains,Type of soil, type of tires, highspeed servos, high torque servos etc., some offroad tracks have longer straights, so becareful in compromising Torque - Acceleration and Speed. To achieve the best handling buy the carbon fiber servo plates to lower more the CG, and also try Clones setup or Jimk2's and then run series of test then combine it with your experience. If you think you need to change or tweak a little then do so. That's what i did. One thing that i'm certain if you want the best. It's very costly. If you want to mess with your Clutch bell , suspension plates you can get it at RC-mushroom.com or Rcmart.com. Remember this - The Racing Clutch Bell is available in different teeth numbers (13T to 18T to select from), so we would have the choice to adjust the gear ratio to the terrain to attain optimum performance. The more teeth on the clutch bell (or fewer the teeth on the spur gear) the more top speed with slightly reduced acceleration and torque, ideal for smooth surfaces or longer straights. The fewer number of teeth on the clutch bell (or the higher number of teeth on the spur gear) better the acceleration and torque with slightly less top speed, ideal for rough terrain, steep hills or short tracks with tight corners. - Car set up has to conform with the track.

Jeepers, nice engine :-) Will you try this V = D/T ( Velocity = Disatance/Time ) from starting point to finish line = 120 mters test your SP2 how long it would take it to reach 120 mts ( in a straight line or road) . let's see how fast it goes. let's see the difference bet. .21 and .32. Will you do this little experiment? We're only testing for its maximum speed so you make your buggy run already before starting point to the fininsh line. If you want to get the acceleration speed the formula for it is.... hmm..
i think A = (V1 - V2 /T) i'm not sure any volunteer? i think we need this info. I think the buggy has to start at full stop. it would be much help if you will do this little experimen for us. if you have freinds who has speedtest device just borrow it it would be much easier :-) don't bother to change anything on your buggies gears during test. stock is ok. have a great time!

it takes accurate timing equipment to start the clock at the beginning of the 120m and then stop it at the end. a couple tenths of a second difference are significant when the performance of these engines are pretty close. also, finding acceleration of these cars using that simple formula wont work. that equation is only good for a constant value acceleration or average acceleration. u would need an accelerometer to measure that, or take the double derivative of a position sensor, or have a sensor sampling shaft speed on the car at some location.
