I guess, I don't think there is an official mp 7.5 thread, maybe you should start one. I did a search and didn't find one.

grant try this --- Run 5/5/1 in the diffs-----3 deg's toe in on the rear-------1 1/2 deg toe out on the front---------60 shock oil in the front/45 shock oil in the rear---set your ride height just slightly above level(universals). Since the track is bumpy and loose the 5000 in the center will alow the front to pull the car throu the bumps and the 3 deg toe in in on the rear with the 5000 center will keep your rear from bucking and will help the rear track strait(If they smooth out your track you'll need to go with 6000 or 7000 in the center. The 1 1/2 deg toe end in the front will help bal oversteer off power and understeer on power at entry point of corner.( please keep in mind that adj might have to be made as the track changes I.E---wet to dry track. Another note: If I run on a loose track the first thing I do is change the clutch shoes to carbin and run .9 to 1.0 springs. If its a high bite track I run allumn shoes with 1.0 to 1.1 springs.(If you can't get the power to the ground your just spinning your wheels). Hope this info helps----dont get frustrated. keep working on learning what setups and changes do what and it will payoff- in time you will get to a point where you will be able to go to most tracks and now what setup and changes will work best just by looking at it.

best of luck!!!

Thanks very much clone3. I'll try this setup and see how it goes. My next race is not for 3 weeks but I'll give you guys a report then. Thanks again.

EDIT: Grrr I made a bit of a mistake with my diff oils. I said I originally had 5k, 7k, 1k and dropped the centre to 6k. Well I was looking at my notes and that was the diff oils in my other buggy (a rex-x I bought to see if I would like racing).
My 777 had the standard 4k,6k,1k. The centre was then dropped to 5k.
I think I will change the front to 3k and see how that goes.
Cheers again.

Ok, let me try asking in this forum. You guys have helped a lot so far. I was finishing up my new engine install of a Sportwerks .26v2 with pull-start...in my Inferno Sports 7.5. I'm using the engine mounts from a SP2 kit. I attached the engine mount, then when I went to attach the spacers It would not fit due to the housing at the back of the engine with the pull-start. Is there anything I can get for this to make it fit. I was hoping torun on my next day off. Thanks for any help

Those are bump start engine mounts, You will need pull start engine mounts (higher) Or you could shim them up using clutch bell bearings.

To save money you can just go to your local harware store and get some 1/8' or so sheet metal and make some shims.

My project is just 90 % finished but i still hope this would inspire incoming Drivers of 2006 (to get 777 sp2's coz the more buggies sold the more hop ups parts there will be). I thought the hyper 8 is a better buggy than SP2 but not this time. The SP2 can also have a fine servo plate. 7075 servo horns is on the way for this buggy to make it more descent to look at hehe :-) awoooooooo

I made my shock spacers like this. in this way i will save my shock caps from lose threading during high impact landing on high jumps. (The black plastic strap will prevent pressure from the spring to go through the shock caps) The collar on the black plastic strap has to be cut or remove so you will need an extra black plastic strap set for larger adjustments in the future. (don't worry about the spring it will be replaced depending on the corse of the track or whatever you deserve) in this way you could also avoid oil leaks on your shock caps.

Ok got a servo question, i upgraded my steering servo to a 125+ oz one from the 85 oz one the car comes with. Now i can turn at high speeds but now i go one 2 wheel or flip over when i do. Is that another upgrade need once and upgrade of the steering servo is done or i just need to learn to drive the car over again? Kyosho inferno MP 7.5 sport readyset series.
P.S. I am new to the RC thing :-)

That's just a matter of setting up the car.

somebody's looking for dirt. well these buggies always eats the dirt on the track. My SP2 will surely eat dirt too when i'm done with upgrading it

Well, here's my question is it true that high nitro fuels are much colder than fuel with lower nitros? or it depends on the brand of fuel? what's the best fuel to use to prolong our engines?

Saintlouis that SP2 is looking good mate, A few nice touches. I like the dust caps on the wheel nuts where did you get them? What is going on with the lay down steering servo, I've never seen that before, Nice K factory chassis braces too.

My SP2 hop ups consist of king headz front knuckles, rear hubs and chassis braces. Some say stock chassis braces are best as they allow the chassis to flex.

It's all about preferance and taste.

Will try to get some pics of mine uploaded to show you

Jim

U got a nice piece of hardware there! Kingheads? they have a name in the world market same as K factory products. What a cool paint job and that makes your car unique. how did you learn to paint like that? Is there any websites to learn about painting polycarbonate bodies. Oh if you want those type of wheel nuts you will also have to change your wheel hub as well. they are from Hyper 7/8 buggies. It's not necessarily to change your universal swing shaft nor your frt and rear hub carriers. You can get it at RCMART.COM look for Hyper 7/8 Spareparts.

For me i think the front chassis needed to be stiffer and harder to make a solid support in the front section of the car. 1/8 car buggy chassis is made of aluminum, they are not flexible as the chassis of a lifesize automobile. if our buggy chassy is bent (from a high jump) i don't think it will return to its original position. This is just my theory. its up to you to listen or not. i haven't read about the complete characteristics of aluminum - 7075 or not. I hope Clone will help us about this issue so we would really know what is best brace for our buggy.

Laydown servos lowers your cars cg a bit. makes your driving more stable. but i don't think its that significant. My next project is to put Hyper 8 Air filter on our SP2. Then get an alloy rear upper arm set, then an alloy rims then a good body paint job (if i can): -(
