I should have my SP2 by next week and will be looking for some mod parts like clone3 has added to his. My local hobby shops carry a poor selection of hop ups part, were online can I find part such as a hardware kit and what part would add?

clone3 -> RE: OFFICIAL KYOSHO MP777-SP1/SP2 THREAD (10/27/2005 2:13:20 AM)

There are some good sites that I have used for parts------- 1- tower hobbies, 2- amain hobbies, 3-meganitro.com. All of these have good prices/fast shipping/great cust. service.

I dont have a sp2, but I heard they handle great right out of the box.

The hardware kit is from R/C SCREWS-KYOSHO KANAI 777/SPECIAL 1 PART # kyo55 I got the kit from Amain. http://www.amainhobbies.com

You should scratch tower hobbies of that list[;)]

clone3 -> RE: OFFICIAL KYOSHO MP777-SP1/SP2 THREAD (10/27/2005 3:59:30 AM)

Did you have a bad experience with tower? Please let all know what happened.

J_Bone -> RE: OFFICIAL KYOSHO MP777-SP1/SP2 THREAD (10/27/2005 4:03:37 AM)

Tower no longer carries Kyosho.

clone3 -> RE: OFFICIAL KYOSHO MP777-SP1/SP2 THREAD (10/27/2005 4:19:08 AM)

Dont they still sell upgrade parts from other manfacturers for the buggie?

wide_open247 -> RE: OFFICIAL KYOSHO MP777-SP1/SP2 THREAD (10/27/2005 4:41:25 AM)

is there a store that carries tons of kyosho parts. I live in Alberta Canada and i have to order all my parts from the states.

Fastime -> RE: OFFICIAL KYOSHO MP777-SP1/SP2 THREAD (10/27/2005 10:27:06 PM)

clone3....I checked out A Main Hobbies and could only find Tony's Screw kits, do you have any feed back on this product? They also have a good selection of parts for this buggy as well.

Perhaps, Tower wil eventually carry other GS Racing products, i.e. Feroni, Novarossi, Rex, etc....

FASTIME--

TAKE A LOOK AT MEGANITRO.COM. I'VE HAD GOOD LUCK WITH THEM. AS FAR AS THE SCREWS GO , IF YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THE PRODUCT AND PRICE GO WITH THE "TONYSCREWS" IF NOT GO WITH THE R/C SCREWS. I PICKED MINE UP FOR ABOUT 20.00.

jkoch -> RE: OFFICIAL KYOSHO MP777-SP1/SP2 THREAD (11/1/2005 3:57:40 AM)

Does the 777 require a pilot shaft motor? I read somewhere that it needs an SG shaft motor. What's an SG shaft?

jkoch -> RE: OFFICIAL KYOSHO MP777-SP1/SP2 THREAD (11/1/2005 4:14:05 AM)

One more question, I noticed Carolinas R/C has the 777SP1 + SP2 conversion kit for under $600. Other places sell the SP2 kits for around $700 dollars? Are these the same kits? I noticed the SP2 kit mentions the 3 standard diffs eliminating the LSD diff. However the SP1 + SP2 conversion kit mentions nothing about it. I just want to make sure I get all the upgrades of the SP2 and not just the chassis/shock stuff. Thanks

clone3 -> RE: OFFICIAL KYOSHO MP777-SP1/SP2 THREAD (11/1/2005 4:41:46 AM)

GET THE KIT NOW!!!!!! I CHECKED OUT THE DEAL AND IT'S A BUNDLE PACKAGE FOR 589.00----THAT'S A STEAL!!!. YOU GET A SP1 KIT PLUS THE SP2 FOR UNDER 600.00. THEY WILL NOT LAST LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!http://www.carolinasrc.com/Webstore/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=924

J_Bone -> RE: OFFICIAL KYOSHO MP777-SP1/SP2 THREAD (11/1/2005 12:00:53 PM)

If you buy the SP-1 + SP-2 you might have to buy the gears and pins for $16 more?? no positive..

jkoch -> RE: OFFICIAL KYOSHO MP777-SP1/SP2 THREAD (11/1/2005 10:28:40 PM)

FYI, I emailed Carolinas RC and here is the difference between the SP2 kit and the SP1+SP2 bundle:

Hi Joe,

The SP1 with SP2 conversion kit does have the LSD diff in the front (as it
is just a SP1 kit with a SP2 conversion kit included). Other differences
are minor (shorter shock boots, lacks updated shock bladders). The good
news is that you end up with several extra parts after the conversion (SP1
chassis, hingepins, etc) that you can use as spares, or eBay. We only have
one kit left.

If you're interested in a pure SP2 kit, we will have them in stock on
Friday, and our price will be the lowest out there ($699)

Thanks,
Jon Martin

I am going to have to disagree with you. Blue is enough.

clone3 -> RE: OFFICIAL KYOSHO MP777-SP1/SP2 THREAD (11/10/2005 8:48:41 PM)

NO DISRESPECT BUT THE BLUE IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH FOR THOSE BOLTS. AFTER USING THE BLUE AND LOOSING THREE BOLTS ( 2 DURING QUAL/1 DURING THE MAIN).
I WOULD STILL BE USING THE BLUE BUT AFTER THE THIRD BREAK DURING THE AMAIN I CAME OFF THE DRIVERS STAND AND RUSHED TO MY PIT TABLE. A FACTORY DRIVER CAME OVER AND ASKED WHAT HAPPENED---I TOLD HIM THAT I LOST ONE OF THE KNUCKLE BOLTS FOR THE 3 TIME---I GAVE HIM A FUNNY LOOK WHEN HE ASKED ME IF I PUT THREAD LOCK ON THEM---(THAT WAS LIKE SOMEONE ASKING ME IF I PUT A GLOW PLUG IN THE MOTOR.I TOLD HIM THAT I ALWAYS USED THREAD LOCK AND SHOWED HIM THE BOTTLE. HE RAN OVER TO HIS PIT AREA AND CAME BACK WITH A BOTTLE OF RED THREAD LOCK AND SAID" WE NEVER USE THE BLUE ON THE FRONT KNUCKLE BOLTS, IT'S NOT STRONG ENOUGH. USE THE RED." SO I USED THE RED AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS TO DATE WITH THE KNUCKLE BOLTS...

AGAIN---**********IMPORTANT NOTE*********

DO NOT USE THE BLUE THREAD LOCK ON THE FRONT KNUCKLE BOLTS.---USE THE RED THREAD LOCK.

THANKS AND GOOD LUCK

J_Bone -> RE: OFFICIAL KYOSHO MP777-SP1/SP2 THREAD (11/10/2005 9:29:43 PM)
